Sure...That'd be applying a
Carnauba Wax atop a Sealant.
Besides that...Why not create
a "different kind of shine"...of
your own accord. :xyxthumbs:
Bob
I'm not the only one that callsIs polish angel high gloss not a
spray coating anymore? Why do
u call it a sealant?
It seems like you're bringing upI don't mind making a shine of my
own but I would rather not use
incompatible products.
You don't put a carnauba wax over
a sio2 quartz or ceramic coating right?
I'm not 100% sure on what type of
coating can be topped and what coating
can't if u don't mind educating me,
the warm glow doesn't last forever after a couple weeks it's ready to be topped with somethingTopping PA High Gloss would be a waste of a very expensive product IMHO... Why would you want to do that?
If you are using Silica and Titania based products as your protection, stick with those. Does not make much sense to cover it up with a hybrid wax.
If you "must" top the High Gloss, use something like CarPro's Ech20.
You will not hurt anything by doing what you propose, but consider what you paid for that bottle of High Gloss. I would just enjoy the awesome glow of the PA product and leave it alone. (Just my 2¢)
OK they also refer to it as a spray coating. You ask where I get the incompatibility thing from? It's a known thing that a lot of coatings canthe be topped with wax. Why do u think they came out with all these coating sprays. You can't just top most coatings with wax/sealant sprays or quick detailer. I'll look for information on why when I'm home but there is plenty out there on the incompatibility of coating and waxes.I'm not the only one that calls
High Gloss a Sealant. Polish Angel
does as well:

It seems like you're bringing up
this issue quite a lot...
From what source(s) are you getting
this "incompatibility"; and the "can't/don't"
top so-and-so-products with this-or-that?
Note:
Just as a FYI...99 times out of 100
I do not top/layer an LSP unless it's
with the same exact LSP---(to ensure
total/even coverage, as it were)---not
because of any chance-incompatibility
between LSP products.

Having said that some coatings are
supposedly compatiable with wax.
For example mckees coating I heard
was compatible and synergy is half a
coating half a wax.
I want to know if the polish angel
high gloss is the type of coating that
can be topped or can't be topped.
Even polish angel customer
service hasn't answered it.
I have all wax sealant products in my
arsenal besides synergy which obviously
can be topped and polish angel high
gloss that I'm up in the air with that's
why I want to know if it can be topped
Doesn't the freshly applied SprayIt doesn't matter what lsp I have on it
always looks best after a wash and a
nice spray wax
Doesn't the freshly applied Spray
Wax now become the actual Last
Step Product?
Bob
It be nice if I could figure out what type of coatings can be topped with wax/sealant products and which ones can't. That's all I want to know
Why do u think they came out with all these coating sprays
You can, theoretically, top whatever product you want with whatever other product you want. The thing you run into is whatever your literal last product you put on is going to have the most evident properties, such as water behavior, and you'll usually get diminished durability out of whatever it is because it's trying to bond to whatever coating/wax/sealant you're putting it on top of.
As far as getting your answer, all any company or manufacturer is going to say is "for best compatibility use this product from our line, but you should be able to use whatever else, too." You might be expecting too much hoping for anyone to give you a concrete answer or legitimate evidence of it. I just do whatever I feel like and see what kind of results I get.
Companies are always going to release specific products like that. Doesn't mean anything, IMO. I use D156 on my coated cars all the time, which nobody anywhere says is directly compatible, however, I get great results. So...

It varies by the coating and the added product. Some will work, and others will nt play well as far as polymer, or carnuba based products. What does work on everything I have coated and tried, are the coating specific products by polish angel, car pro, gyeon.
It is also dependant on the product you wish to put on top of the coating, as much as the coating itself, so there is no direct answer.
I stick with car pro ech2o mixed ith gyeon. That is an incredible topper for coatings.
