I got a sample with my last order. Tried it today. Nice smell, nice 'gel' consistency, holds on the applicator nicely. Goes on smoothly/evenly. Nice finish. IMO it finishes a little bit above a matte finish. Not too shiney, not too matte. Perfect!

BLACKFIRE Tire Gel, tire dressing, tire shine

I see myself purchasing a full size bottle soon!

I will update this with the durability of it later this week/next weekend.

I agree, this is one fine tire dressing! If you or a customer are looking for a little more gloss, add a second layer.

I have some but haven't tried it yet.

Lime many it seems to have gained quite a following in such a short period of time. If it's anything like the other products offered in the BlackFire lineup it has to be good.....:props:

I prefer the old version...Sadly that is gone now. :(

I have used it about a month ago on my tires and they still look great! Its been hand washed at least twice since then. But also keep in mind its a garaged baby also and doesn't see any bad weather.

I completely agree with the op. Just tried my free sample this past weekend.

I think its more lotion than gel, but like how it looks initially and no spitting like gels typically do. Great product !

I just started using OptiBond Tire Dressing mixed with 50% water. Color is perfect, slightly more shiny than matte. Seems pretty thick, so I suspect durability will be good. The fact it can be mixed with water should make the bottle last a long time.

I tried my sample a few days ago. I too am pretty impressed with it. No sling after 3 coats. (And my car is white) Has a very darkening appearance compared to other dressings ive used. Very unglossy black look. Hard to describe.

Smells just like pinnacle black onyx.

Is it greasy? Is it dry to the touch? I had bad experience w/ gel tire dressing. I'm using PERL and like it alot. It's dry to the touch, nonglossy, just right for me.

I liked PERL too, until today i touched my tire and it smeared...
The car was in the garage ever since the day i applied which was at least 3 days ago...
Have about 4 layers on it?

Hmmm, i got 3 layers and it did not smear. Maybe because my tires were brand new.
