Blind Samples

I assume the blind samples that are sent out have instructions on how they should be used?

gotta go to the local pharmacy to get small tubs (the cosmetic ladies always have a bunch for make up and cream samples, fact learned from my girlfriend ;) )

I buy a lot of my bottles for samples at usplastics. They are usually under 50 cents each and you can choose a bunch of different tops and stuff.

I get mine from Walmart from the section in the beauty aisles that sells travel size stuff.

PAR, I would PM you but in a week I will be gone for a month.

Once I get back I will offer out some some samples of a different product.

James, send me your address and I'll return the gesture when I get my sample tubs at the end of the week.

The next couple of people that PM me their address I will send a sample to as well. Again, it will be a few days until I get the sample tubs.

James, finally tried the wax this evening on the roof of my vehicle. Goes on like butter and comes off in one swipe. Has an incredible gloss and slickness. I really like it! If you don't mind, PM me where you get it.

received a sample from louisville,KY so i assume it's from PAR Detailing. havent had a chance to try it, it is raining hard here.
initial observation, the paint product wax or sealant has a nice fluo pink color, smell like bubblegum, it did leak some oil in shipping so i assume it's a carnauba wax.
the wheel stuff is a really pale mauve color not really any oily feeling. smells a little bit like grape.

I am waiting on a nice day to try it out, It will be used on a brand new, still unwashed 2011 blue ford ranger.

I can't remember if we spoke on where I got this or not. I got it from a group buy on another forum, so I am not sure where to buy it out right. I can do some searching though and will PM you what I find.

ok so i bought a new car friday and tested the samples PAR detailing sent me on it,the pink pâint stuff was applied with my bare hands, smears well on the surface, somewhat of a grainy texture which melts in your hands. really easy applying this product, it gives a nice warm gloss to the paint, although no real metallic popping, this was achieved with OCW.

I tested the wheel product, and it is easy to use, goes on and off easily, I need to test it long term to see if it is good agaisnt brake dust.

bonus, my girlfriend helped me because she did like the product colors.

A few weeks ago Jon at PAR Detailing sent me a blind sample which I just now used on an '05 Toy Sienna van; this is our daily driver, white paint.

After the long winter, I washed the van with Meg's GC shampoo and Mother's clay then I used the sample on a fender. It's a white liquid with the consistency of fat free milk, no particular scent. I applied it sparingly with a Pinnacle yellow foam pad, working it into the surface with a bit of hand pressure. I wiped it right off with a MF towel instead of letting it sit for awhile. It was an easy on, easy off application. It left the white paint with a nice shiny gloss compared to the rest of the fender.

It's hard to compare the result with other things I've used on this van. It had a different finish compared to Meg's #7 polish, their Deep Crystal Cleaner/Wax, or M26 yellow Wax. I like the look of this blind sample and I'm wondering if Jon (PAR) will have more comments about this product. Thanks for sending it to me Jon.

The sample I sent you was Klasse Sealant Glaze. I figured since it was a minivan and a daily driver something with good protection my be nice. Keep us updated on the durability. Im glad you liked it.

Time to kick start this thread again. Who wants to play blind samples?

I'm in! Pass some my way! :props: Or you could just let me have your new garage. That'd work too :D

Put me down for free goodies, I love to do test runs and praise or complain!

Well, actually Dwayne sent me some samples that I am excited to try out tomorrow on a range. They weren't blind, but thoughtful.
