Blind Samples

Dubbin- I agree... And then with some people, they have such a LARGE assortment or allotment of products( you know youve seen the pics of stashs ppl have hahaha) which a lil bit wont hurt.... I did that for a friend who wanted to try some of the stuff i had to see if he liked it and liked actually using it..... Some ppl are finiky(sp?) about things like myself and we have reasons for why and to pay for it try it once and not like it is a waste!

Over the years what i did was if i didnt like something after trying it(when i bought it) i would sell it on craigslist or ebay cause i knew it would sit on myshelf collecting dust, and i dont like that nor do i like clutter LOL Sooo i give it away or sell it!!

Thanks again for the great Idea Dubbin!!!!

I'm not sure if I have anything to offer that you wouldn't have tried already, but I will try to swing by Walmart this weekend and pick up some sample bottles.

:hungry:
Not sure if you have any samples left but I will gladly take something.

:nomore: for you! :poke:

I gotta keep this win streak going! A few months ago I won 2 Bon Jovi tickets ($100/each) and then last friday my manager gave me to MN Wild tickets ($70/each).. and then I found out I got the Dodo Juice giveaway..

......... I need to buy a lottery ticket!. Im the MAN

Well, don't feel bad Richard. I am poor also and doubt I get any samples either. :(

So I received a blind sample today in the mail. Upon opening the package I found a little spray bottle, 2oz. I believe and it was labled "Blind Sample Quick Detailer". Seeing how I planned to wash my car I thought this would be a perfect time to test out said qd. After a wash down with none other than Duragloss #901 I dried the car with a large mf drying towel.

The test:

Starting with the hood and a dry surface, I spritzed the left side and spread product with a microfiber towel then grabbed a 2nd microfiber towel to buff off. I repeated this step on the center followed by the right side.

The 2nd part of the test was to see how the product reacted with water on the surface. For this I grabbed a 2oz. bottle and filled with tap water, spritzed 1/2 of my roof with water followed by the mysterious QD, BUT I did not use a 2nd towel to buff dry. I moved to the other side of my roof and repeated the procedure except I buffed this section with a 2nd dry towel.

Thoughts:

I couldn't place the smell, not bad but not fruity. The product was very sticky upon spreading but after buffing with a 2nd dry mf towel, the surface was a little slick. Immediately I thought of Blackfire Spritz Sealant and Wolfgang Spritz Sealant, both sticky when attempting to spread the product but provided a slick surface upon buffing panel. I'm not sure if this mysterious QD has protective properties, so I will wait for the rain to provide and update.

This product reacted the same on a dry surface as well as a wet surface. Very interested in knowing what it is. It doesn't leave a slick surface like FK 425 or Duragloss Aqua Wax, it only left behind that typical feel of a QD. The side that I spread the product but didn't buff was to test streaking, which it did not.

This test was conducted inside my garage on paint that has not been corrected.

Thanks Richard! This is fun!!

Dwayne was going to tell us at this point what it was except he got his paperwork mixed up and is no longer entirely sure. Im the MAN;)

Very funny skirt boy (you will understand soon enough) :D

Received a blind sample of QD from Dwayne. :dblthumb2:

Seemed to be pretty slick with good cleaning ability for a QD. I'm gonna guess it's DP Final Gloss???

Thanks again, Dwayne! :props:
