Blind Samples

I will not post what my products are until everyone has had the chance to try them and report back here.

And here's what I received from Richard in the mail today.

How you fit all of this into that little envelope is beyond me :dunno:

I have no clue what any of this stuff is.

Did wax "A" leak? Looks like it around the lid. I guess I will go back to taping them down.

The interior cleaner is really nice in my opinion. I used it yesterday to clean some rubber floor mats, doesn't leave a sticky residue or anything. I wrote on the bottle safe for all panels while assuming one wouldn't use it on glass! You can use it on carpet too. Try the spray waxes on a dry surface first then on damp panels. Enjoy! :xyxthumbs:

No not at all, it kind of exploded on me when I opened it :D

Cool I just happen to have some rubber floor mats that need a good cleaning.

Results of the Interior Cleaner

I was getting ready to toss these old floor mats so this was a perfect time for Richards package (hehehe) to arrive.

Product is clear, has a consistency of water and has a very pleasant and mild scent.

I figured I would get fancy and take some pictures to go along with the "review".

Dirty old and worn out floor mat. The pictures really don't show how dirty is was.

To clean all I did was spray it on and wipe it off with a MF towel. No scrubbing was needed.
As you can see the interior cleaner did a fine job of cleaning that old floor mat.

Would I buy this product? Yes, I really think I would. I have been looking for an interior cleaner for the Malibu that has a very mild scent and this is the answer to that. I think this along with Ultima Interior Guard would be a good combo.

Now on another note, see how bad that floor mat is worn. One would think that at $18 each they would last longer then they did. They have less then 7k miles on them...

I have cleaned several floor mats the same way, spray on - wipe off. I haven't had to scrub yet. As soon as I bought the product I tested it on a black plastic shelf to see if it left a residue or changed the appearance, it slightly deepened the color but that was it. The only thing I have noticed at this point is if you use too much it will get a little foamy, but that's nothing an additional mf towel won't cure.

Wow Dwayne! You're upping the anty in the blind sample review dept. Very nice! :dblthumb2:

Now I can't wait to find out what this is. I have 2 guesses but first let me ask... what does it smell like? Im the MAN

Would you like to try it also?

I'm not sure what the scent is, all I can say is that its a very mild, clean scent.

Working on the Wax "A" review right now ;)

Now onto the wax "A" sample

As requested I tested this along side of Liquid Souveran.

Wax "A" is blue in color, thick like toothpaste and I think it smells like bubblegum.

We have no sun here in Ohio today so I'm not wasting time on the money shot.

I found wax "A" to use more product then Souveran, have a slight dusting problem but not too bad and the Souveran left the finish a bit slicker. I also noticed that the Souveran side left a slightly darker finish. Wax "A" did remove like a dream, reminds me of BFWD and Liquid Nattys Blue.

I'm gonna wait and try this on a lighter color car before I say if I would buy it or not. Unfortunately until someone brings me one I have nothing to test it on.

Next up is the samples of Spray wax "A" & "B"

First up is spray wax "A"

Milky white in appearance, consistency of water and almost smells like IPA.

As you will see in the picture it did seem to act like water when wiping over it. I did spray it on thick to test this and to see if it smears. It did not smear and after a couple swipes it wiped clean and left a nice shiny finish.

Now on to spray wax "B"

Milky white in appearance, consistency of water and smells like oranges.

As you will see in the picture it acted different then "A" when wiping over the heavy spray I put on. It did however leave streaks and smeared a bit and needed buffed to remove. It did leave a shiny finish.

If I had to choose I think I would go with "A" since it didn't smear or streak like "B" did. I do like the "B" scent better.

Very interesting. Spray wax A is synthetic while spray wax B is not. My guess is the carnauba content is what required the extra buffing. I have actually used spray wax B in the sun, and yes it requires an extra wipe but no real issues to speak of.
