Blind Samples

Here's what I got today...

I'll start with the wax, it is a slightly off-white color with a tropical fruity smell. It has a very soft and sort of mushy consistency compared to other pastes I've used. I had some time when I got home from work so I gave it a shot on one of the rear doors of my truck. I used a small amount, rubbed on to foam app twice, to coat the door and wiped immediately. It wiped off with ease and didn't stain the bl trim around the window the I smeared it all over. It's tough to get a good look since it's cloudy today but it didn't make it look any worse. All in all, I would use this if I had it, the only downfall with it was the consistency, made it tough to rub on the app without making a mess of my hand. I have no idea what it is,never used it before. A big thanks to Dubbin for the samples and PM me some addresses and I will pay it forward.

I know what the wax is! You should try a microfiber glove when handling wax in that form. Not thinking one day, I picked up AutoGlym HD with my bare hands and after a short time I nearly dropped it! After that I used a mf glove with no issues.

This is the wax that Tad sent me and I already knew what it was.

Yes the wax is a pain to get on your applicator but only because of the container it is in.

Today you applied Souveran Paste to the rear doors of your truck. Use it sparingly and there will be plenty to finish the rest of the truck.

i need to try and get in on this. I need to get some more sample bottles.

Now on to wax "B"

Wax "B" is light tan in color (almost white), has a chemical smell and the same consistency as Liquid Souveran.

The bottle states that it is a WOWO wax. This is the first liquid WOWO that I have ever heard of.

Again thin is in (the area I applied is smaller then it appears).

I found it to be not even close to the WOWO paste waxes that I have used, it did seem to haze a bit by the time I snapped the picture.

I used very little product on the roof of the car and it wiped off fairly easy but not as easy as wax "A". Its not quite as slick as the Liquid Souveran and about the same as wax "A".

Something is telling me this is a sealant and I was instructed to do a WOWO for ease in removal.

Sometime in the next two days I will be doing a beading and sheeting test on everything I applied today.

It may have some sealing properties...Im the MAN Wait until you see the beading of product B! The WOWO method was recommended according to the label.

You are such a tease making us wait until all the reviews are in :bash:

Always,of course, wanted to try this. I really appreciate you sending such a sweet sample. I used a nitrile glove to spread so no real mess and if it was in the full jar it may work better. Thanks again

Nice! :xyxthumbs:

Today I tried the int cleaner/protectant I was sent, this is a blast. It has a not so great chemical kinda smell and is a yellow-ish color. I used a few sprays on each type of surface of the interior. The cleaner's did quite well, especially around the door handle where the tan color gets dirty very easily, and the look was quite a bit shinier than the 1Z Cockpit Premium that was on there. It also made each surface much slicker(maybe greasy) than the 1Z. Overall, the cleaning ability impressed me for a combo product but the finish is not what I prefer. I haven't used this before either so I have no idea what it is.

It is Megs #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner. If its greasy and shiny then you used too much ;) I think it has more of a leather type scent.

Well I took one for the team today and pulled the Maliblue out in the rain for some beading and sheeting test.

Here are the beading and sheeting results from wax "A" "B" and Liquid Souveran.

Sheeting on trunk lid (wax "A" on left Liquid Souveran on right)
IMO the Liquid Souveran wins by a long shot.

Wax "B" sheeting on roof. Seems to be about the same as wax "A"

Ok, I received two samples from Dwayne (thanks!) today. One is a QD and the other is a trim protectant.

I washed my car today, so it was a good chance to give the QD a try.

This stuff smelled great, but not sure I can place the exact smell. Kind of like grape, but not quite?

Anyway, a little of this stuff goes a long way. I would spray a small section, spread it with the MF, and then flip to a dry side and buff dry.

I noticed that I did have to wipe it dry quickly, or I would get some streaking. Overall, though, I did not see streaking as an issue.

The main two QD's that I have used in the last several years have been FK 425 and Optimum Instant Detailer. I've only used this blind sample QD once, but I am very impressed!

This QD leaves the paint more slick than any QD that I have used, bar none. This was applied on a red vehicle that had Fuzion put on it just over a week ago.

I get the feeling that this QD is also leaving behind a bit of protection, but who knows. It helped remove a few minor water spots that were left on the paint after drying.

I'm really looking forward to finding out what brand this QD is. I still have more than half a gallon of FK 425 and a nearly full bottle of OID, but I might have to buy this QD.

Did I mention how slick it left the paint?!

I have no idea who this is from. Really, the only other QD that I remember people talking about how great it is was, was from Meguiar's.

So Dwayne, what is it??
