Boooo price increase midnight sun

History tells me that stuff gets popular, and the price goes up.

End of the day, I will still buy a pot eventually. I am not going to let $20 stop me from trying what is supposed to be a great product.

If anything don't go out to eat one night, and BAM your back on top!

Blackfire was popular long before Autogeek carried it-I would say it peaked a while back.

Well have to say its pretty sad that it too a $20 price jump because they put it in a cheap $5 handgun case now. Wont be purchasing that again and glad I got it before this stupid price hike for something useless.

Just wait until the right time when Autogeek marks it down up to 50% off like they do with all the housebrands. Which in my opinion is the real value of the product since the markdowns are so frequent and drastic.

I'm not a fan of the marketing. The free refills they offer-just a ploy knowing many will never use up the initial volume.

I know, but you bring anything to PBMA, and it is going to blow up if it is worth anything.

You can't deny that BF being available at AG definitely boosted its sales, and popularity.

so i guess the new revised lineup the reason everything blackfire has recently been on sale and on giveaways. clearing out for the new stuff.

I saw them (I think Meghan) post recently you don't have to send in the container for the refill, just call them with the number on the card that came with it. If they want the container I'll pop the remaining wax out of the tub and send it in. But with previous experience with AG I don't think I'll have a problem.

Their marketing can drive me crazy at times, when I buy something from them I always have that thought in the back of my head "can I get this cheaper on some special sale they'll be having next week?"....but for them it's genius. Like with this past New Years sale they hit us with a 20% off sale with exclusions but to get free shipping you had to spend over $150. I leaned back in my chair and wiped the sweat from my forehead thinking I got out lucky since I didn't need $150 worth of product so I would get to keep my money. Then they come at us with the restrictions removed and I end up with a Master Blaster and a Flex. I'm a sucker for AG and the only way they don't get my money is if I stay away from their site.

the new consumer mentality that everything has to be around half off seems to be creating a lot of extra high 'regular' prices in all things.

In my job we clear about a 16% markup and yet we get customers all the time asking for 20% off (and our regular prices are about 30% off msrp and not our own made up msrp).

We go shopping and I look at a jacket and laugh at the 'regular price' of $190 and then the on sale price of $90 since it should be regular price of $99 and sale of $80. But it seems to work. The prospect of a sale being limited time gets people buying and I have to admit that after a couple recent sales here where I only had a short time to get the order in I ended up wishing I'd skipped ordering the stuff.

We've been trained to wait for the extra sale on items by places having a nonstop run of big discounts. If we need something at bed bath and beyond we always wait till we get the next discount coupon in the mail from them. It doesn't cross our minds to buy towels at pennys unless they are on sale because if they aren't on sale this week they will be next week.

I don't think people will adjust back to buying things for a fair regular every day price.

No line of products are as great as Blackfire

is that a female banana or is mr banana's n*tsack just happy to see me...

Someone on AF made a good point. Likely that BFMS was cannablizing Pinnacle Souveran at its better price point.
:iagree:

I also think it could just be because it's become so damn popular that AG thinks people will pay a higher price. Who knows, will all the negative feedback maybe the price won't stay that high for long. I know my bank was going to raise it's card fee's but got such a negative response from the customer they decided not to. You never know.

That being said, BFMS is one of my all time favorite waxes, and I would just be a little upset to see the price stay this high since I think it might seter some people from giving it a try. Just my .02

I have always wanted to try a new wax and w the price going up on my fav wax I will be looking for a new wax to use. But on a positive note i still have a whole tub left of bfms so I'm good for a while
