Bootcamp . . what have i done?

I wanted to chime in to say how infectious the excitement of this thread was. After years of thinking about attending Mike's class, I've signed up for May's class. I'm just coming from North Carolina, somehow I doubt that will generate much buzz, but I'm looking forward to the experience and I want to thank everyone involved with this thread!

Fantastic. You are going to have a great time.

Very excited for all of you, but especially Aaryn and his family!

Thanks buddy! :xyxthumbs:

Appreciate the support mate.

Go the Lions! :props:

WOW!

Whadda trip, glad it DID all work out. Especially that your luggage made it with you.

Now, get to school (with your genuine autographed Mike Phillip's lunch box and matching thermos-LOL) and ENJOY, learn and ENJOY.

Bill

Did I mention, enjoy yourself?

Thank you Bill. :xyxthumbs:

I was thinking of you on the Monday - watching the news & seeing that storm coming in. Not sure at all if that was going to get close to you but our thoughts were with you any how!

Nice one! :dblthumb2: Thank you!

I wasn't expecting the comments & support that I received at all. Really is awesome knowing that people are happy that I was going to Boot Camp - a long way to go to get there & the positive comments reinforced my thoughts that it was going to be worth it.

You will love it! Weather you're 8000+ miles away like me or just around the corner - I personally am stoked you are going to Boot Camp!!! :dblthumb2:

Keep us informed & congratulations!

Boot Camp update! :dblthumb2:

First off - A really big THANKYOU to my beautiful lady Ange! The woman that has my back & the one that made my getting to Boot Camp a reality. Thank you & thank you Jonty for supporting me in this adventure. I wouldn't have been able to do it with out you guys standing by my side. I LOVE YOU both! :dblthumb2:

At the same time - my apologies for infecting you with this illness that enables you both to see swirls, no known cure sorry . . . my bad.

Second - I'd like to thank each & every one of you who commented on this post & offered your support! Really was heart felt, overwhelming & meant the world to this little Kiwi detailer! :dblthumb2: THANK YOU ALL!

As you guys know - getting to Boot Camp didn't go as smooth as we had hoped but alas we did eventually make it.

Friday I snuck over to Autogeek & had the pleasure of meeting Mike & Nick a day early, Mike spotted me a mile away - I hadn't even spoken at that stage. ( apparently we have an accent? ) They took the time to stop & talk to us even though they were busy getting everything sorted for Boot Camp in the morning. Two genuinely great guys! :props:

Met Mike (AZMike) at the Marriot later that night, another top guy & proud to say - friend.

I wont go in to a detailed description of what we did at Boot Camp & I'm sorry to all of you who wanted pictures - I didn't take any. I figured Mike & Nick were going to take better ones than I could & getting as much "hands on" time there kept us pretty busy.

Attending Boot Camp was an amazing experience & I will post what I thought over on Mikes thread on Boot Camp so I don't have to sit here typing one fingered for too long. :props:

We made it home yesterday - which is Sunday for us here in NZ. We flew out of Orlando on Friday evening - 30th I think it was, at around 5pm local time . . . landed in Los Angeles 5 & a half hours later at 8pm local time. Boarded the plane bound for New Zealand at 10pm - lost Saturday somewhere & 12 hours later we arrived in Auckland NZ at 7:30am Sunday morning our time. Had a little down time there until we made our way back to the South Island - getting home around noon.

Great to be home - though struggled a fair amount today at work, as Jonty & I picked up bugs along the way. Tired, sick & busy didn't make for a nice Monday.

Please check out my thoughts on Boot Camp in Mikes thread.

Thank you ALL again for being a part of this & making it a great experience & sharing that with me. :dblthumb2:

Aaryn NZ - Boot Camp Survivor!!!:buffing:

Good to see ya got home all safe and sound.

With all that flying time, makes me wonder why the scientists say, Kiwis' are a flightless bird.

Yup...got another 6-8 inches of new snow and the temps went into the toilet (-10F>-23C).

Take care of that cold you picked up...sunshine and a couple of "cold ones" helps a lot. For Jonty...well, he's on his own (LOL).

Awh geeze Bill! :nomore:

Thats silly cold. I just seen on our news that you are getting more now? Come down for a holiday mate! Plenty of room here, will even have some cold ones in the fridge for ya. :props:

Yup - these Kiwis' have done a fair amount of flying in the last couple of weeks - tis pretty exhausting too. Must be our little wings aye Bill. Haha.

Not impressed I got airline bugs at all . . . figured I would just work them to death but I like your idea better. :dblthumb2:

Thanks for checking in on us Bill - keep warm way up there my friend.

Hello all. :xyxthumbs:

Finally I found a spare moment to place my order of goodies after getting home from Boot Camp. :buffing:

Thank you Nick for your advise on a couple of things - top class service mate, appreciate it heaps. :dblthumb2:

Looking forward to using the DP tyre coating, I've been doing a heap of talking about it & peoples responses have been well received, can only think it'll be a great addition to our shop.

Very excited about the PE-14 too, though I already have a rotary, getting to use the PE-14 while at Boot Camp - what a well balanced, beautiful machine to use . . . no surprise being from the Flex stable though I guess. :buffing:

Can't wait for my parcel to turn up - my Boot Camp excitement continues . . . . :dblthumb2:

A 6.3 magnitude mid way between Wellie and Xchurch. Hope everyone is OK, Aaryn!

Hey Francesco. :xyxthumbs:

All good here mate. Quake was centred just down the road from here. Maybe 120 kilometres from here. Lucky that it was 70 something kilometres deep I'm thinking. I really don't like the damn things aye! Not a fan at all. No reports of any injuries or damage so far. :xyxthumbs:

I was doing some polishing at the time, Jaguar started rockin' n Rollin'. :buffing: We had a couple yesterday too, a 4.5 & 5.1 a bit further north, about 30 kilometres from here. Not as scary as the 7.1 we had last year but i'd be more than happy if we don't have another! Ever! Period!!!

Thank you for checking in mate! Appreciate it! :dblthumb2:

Go the Brisbane Lions!
