Buying staff from Autogeek.net

It's sorta like Proctor and Gamble.
Go to your local store and look a the back label of the laundry detergent, dish soaps, and cleaning chemicals.
Chances are it'll say Proctor and Gamble. They own:

Tide
Downy
Dreft
Ariel
Gain
Bold
Cheer
Daz
Tip
^^^O-H-I-O^^^ :props:

And this is only their laundry soap lines.
^^^True...^^^

But:

I have to mention that P&G owns and manufactures: "the best damn car-wash soap in the land"...
which happens to also be: "the best damn LSP-stripper in the land": .......Dawn!!!.......

Hold on a minute...I might have got this mixed up a little.

-It's the Ohio State University's marching band that has the moniker:
"The Best Damn Band In The Land (TBDBITL) !!

Lets put it this way I order where I can get product at a good price and good shipping rate I have to make a living too.

Autogeek has created a brand. People pay more for brand names and to purchase from brand names. Simple as that.

I like buying from trusted sellers. I like consistent shipping, support and infrastructure in a supplier.

That being said, I only order about 30% of my supplies from AG these days. If they would offer discounts to business owners that make bulk purchases or had some sort of frequent buyers club it would likely be much higher.

They have their business model though, and I respect that. I will continue to be a customer of theirs as needed, although I won't pay significantly higher prices just because I like their brand.

If I can, I try to buy from companies that make their own products. This is the cheapest way to get things. That being said, not all companies sell at the lowest price. Some authorized distributors get discounts and can off products at a cheaper cost due to bulk buying (I.E. Walmart). However, I will always shop for the cheapest price and with AGO price matching or even beating you can still order from them and if you make a decent purchase it ships free and in 3 days if your West coast..

The shipping is crazy. And god for bid you need something now. I needed a product for a job in 2 days. The total was $38 but with 2 day shipping was $88.

This is true, that's why u stock up and don't wait til the last minute. You should never be running out of your GO TO stuff if your always working. Hell, I buy all kinds of different stuff just for fill in work. That way I know what I don't like and can trade those ones for other things that worked well. But you can probably find a substitute at Wallyworld in the mean time. AutoZone, or CARQUEST are also good places to look. Good luck on that.

:iagree:
You are correct sir. I mean if your using a bottle of something and it feels empty then you should order more,..i could be wrong as I am most of the time. (according to my Girlfriend) lol

Since joining the forum in March, I have bought my fair share of supplies, although shipping is expensive, the knowledge and information you get from employees of AG and members of this forum is PRICELESS to me. Thank you AG and MEMBERS for all your help, it is appreciated more than you will ever know from me:)

I read that someone said we owe AGO for the forums and things like that. Well, I do owe them in a certain way. They have given me a place to voice my concerns and learn from others and so on. However, I also purchase from them and I also refer lots of people to their website. This is how I repay them. It is by word of mouth that makes anything successful and they have been a huge success due to every1 on here. So its a fair trade that they offer the good services that they do. This can only be helpful to them in the future as people say good things about them. I like the people on here and they help me learn and for that I am thankful. I also have a place to make friends and talk cars everyday. It has become my new social media. I look on here more than Facebook, Instagram,..etc. and I cant wait to see what people are talking about. Thanks again AGO for giving me a car guys spot that I can have fun while learning at.

Ps. Think of how much money you save by learning from others advice and mistakes while using their forum here. Maybe you could say that this offsets some of your shipping costs. Maybe you cant if you already know it all.

Many of my purchases have been during promotions, and I met the required minimum for a free ship code, or the current promotion at the time. And when no free shipping was available, I politely asked Autogeek customer service and they gave me free shipping. Granted, my order was close to $500

I love this forum to :) back in the day if you had a business you could buy whole but no thanks to the internet you can't unless you sell the product. So small business like us Detailers are at the mercy of the internet companies so if shipping cost a lot more than the other guy I will buy from them. I have to so I can survive as a business every dollar matters.

valid points!

Wait a minute.... what is the cutoff point for free shipping for "forum members"?

Remember that one? ;) Isn't it something like $95 all the time?

I'm sure with some looking you can find one for $50 and free shipping.

Yes, I'm aware that $50 is more than $17.95 and free shipping, but honestly guys.... that's what.... a bottle of polish, a bottle of sealer, and a gallon of shampoo? Two gallons of shampoo and a sponge.

FWIW, I've brought up the PBMG/Amazon thing before (to fantastic staff members, during a real live phone call placed by yours truly) and of course they matched it. No brainer that one. :dunno:

And people wonder why the economy is in the shitter and companies closing left and right....

This thread is a prime example why. People want and expect things. BOGO, 20% off, free shipping, and want it fast. Who cares about the company, and if they go belly up, I just want my stuff and I want want want. I guarantee if it was their company, they would feel differently. Everyone wants a handout, unless it costs them.

If you can't accept the prices and promotions offered here, utilize your shopping freedom and buy where it makes you happy.

I for one have no problems paying the prices AG asks for because I like what they offer and want to support them. I feel they do plenty to make it a pleasant customer experience and I appreciate that. Some things you can't put a price on.

I wonder how many would still be bitching about shipping prices if AG were to cease operations.

Or on the other side of the fence people want to bring their business to Autogeek they just want pricing matched, which is a stance PBMG gladly accepts and advertises. Numerous members in this thread speak how they would purchase it from here if it was reasonable. It's just capitalism, companies compete for business, people go to the one which they deem the best value, not necessarily the best price.

And the poor economy is hardly true as compared to 2008 unless you focus on the one on the news. We've seen 10%+ rate of return in the stock market since 2009. The auto economy that is on pace to sell 15 million vehicles this year. The dreaded government shutdown that was way overblown and the 18th in the last 35 years.

Money is just paper

So back on topic. My kid won his football game. One more win and we go to the championships! :xyxthumbs:

The championships will be in vegas. Who is up for a Vegas meet up.

Sorry but when I think of Vegas. I think of 5 Guy Burgers and Fries.

Well PM me :D

I'll bring my Menzerna Power lock and my Menzerna Color lock all I ask for is pictures

There are coupons out there for free shipping. Also $50 is not hard to spend on an auto detailing site. I think I order about 75% of my supplies from AGO. Mainly because their customer service is great:props: I've had some minor issues with an order. I called up, spoke to an actual person and they resolved the problems right away. Do you guys know how many companies out there are an automated menu for customer service? Have you called your bank lately? Its frustrating!! In this day in age to talk to a human right away, goes a long way in my book. Other people might just want the lowest price but I want to know if I order some expensive stuff that I will get taken care of if there is a problem and not go around in circles.
