C5 Z06 detail

As above referenced article indicates, this combo seems prefer slow and methodical passes. PC7424 @ 4800 OPM which I believe is speed 4. More correction = more pressure, not more speed. Clean/fluff pad after each section.

Combo is really versatile.

Well I on setting 4 the pad didn't want to spin with more pressure so I bumped it up to 5 and these are my results. Just did one test panel last night but she looks good. This was after one pass.

Sounds like you're on the right track. Sorry I didn't mention what might have been able to be gotten off the shelf at stores, as D300 and other Meg's products can be commonly and quickly gotten without waiting.

Yes, generally speed 5 with the PC is the sweet spot. Any lower speeds and pad rotation usually ceases with any downward pressure. While "jiggling" will clean the paint with a product, rotation is needed for effective correction. If you haven't marked the edge of your backing plate with some sort of mark-line, do so, it helps you keep tabs on the pad rotation.

Meg's #205 is a very good, fine finishing polish. Very versatile, easy to work with, and can even be used by hand in the really tight spots to good effect.

Such an AWESOME car!! I picked up my latest '03 Z06(had 4 of them) in silver with 29K miles. 100% OEM paint in excellent shape. Paint is definitely on the hard side.

It was bone stock when I bought it. I've since added 18/19 LG World Challenge Wheels, lowered on stock bolts, cross/drilled rotors. Waiting to install Stance Coilovers.

Here's a quick pick of it. Car is dirty. Let's see some pics of yours.
