So Ceramic Sunday this week involved a beautiful Camaro SS in Nightfall Gray Metallic that a friend of mine picked up with just over 20k miles on it. Overall it was in good shape but it did have some light swirls and imperfections that needed cleaned up. There were also a handful of larger rock chips that he wanted me to address and thus brought some Dr. Color Chip paint for me to use.

Overall the approach was to correct the paint and apply a nice layer of CarPro Ceramic Paint Coating to it so that day-forward clean up would be much easier and to help lock in the gloss level achieved during the polishing phase. It also included GYEON's Q2 RIM wheel coating designed to resist heat and acidic elements from brake dust and lastly, the polishing and coating of all glass surfaces so those too are hydrophobic and really allow for a clarity that is definitely noticeable. Bye bye water spots and welcome clear glass!

Overall the metallic flake really pops now and the swirls are all but gone. Many thanks to Rob for his trust in my work and the opportunity to work on such a great looking and sounding car. One has to love the deep tone, crackles and pop sounds these V8's make.

Flex 3401 and XCE Polishers with Lake Country Orange Flat Pads and CarPro Essence. Coating was CarPro SiC.

That Camaro SS looks awesome! I always enjoy seeing your photos. Keep up the great work!

Looks like a pool of wet paint. (As always!) :props:

When you sold your Infiniti, I pictured you in a car like this.:D

Beautiful, that flake really stands out.

Great drivers car. Awesome platform.

Love the looks of that car. And the paintwork makes it even better!

Super flake time! Came out great...so much flake popping going on!

I know right? LOL! I'm holding off on a toy for a bit. Money is ready but the market is stupid right now. May go back to a Vette. Loved my 09 and it's small snails :)

That Camaro is minty fresh! What was the paint condition like before polishing with Essence? I've not had a chance to use the stuff more than once.

Thanks! The paint condition wasn't bad. Typical light scratches and marring. Essence is a great one-step product for light to medium swirls. It's my go-to as I tend to use a lot of CarPro Coating products and the pair well together.
