Can someone post a pic of marring?

You mentioned it was repainted, it is always possible that certain defects can be below the clearcoat in which case no amount of polishing can ever fix that. Besides, you are already using one of the least aggressive polish and pad combinations for finishing so I have a hard time seeing how you are still getting marring from that combo.
I talked to Mike P. and he thinks it's a paint related problem which is out of my hands. Obviously, he can't see it so he doesn't know for sure. It makes me feel better that it's probably something I cant control rather than being user error. :)

This marring you are speaking of, it sounds like it was after you polished so how can it be a paint defect. If it is induced it can be taken out.

Well, you certainly tried to the best of your ability which is already quite good. But at least you might have some definitive closure to the marring problem if it is indeed the paint itself.

Even a foam applicator and 205 marred the paint. There's something going on.

So it must be me!

Now that I would agree with. After more practice you will start to figure things out, what works with what. This isn't as easy as some think it is. Like someone else has said about detailing, anyone can be good, but very few of us are great at it.
