Can you Believe this is a Hyundai

The styling is pretty bold and not like anything else on the road. I applaud them for doing that without getting ugly.

I also like the idea of the idea of the unibody trucks like this one and the Ridgeline. They are a good size, have a bed big enough for most hauling needs, can tow 5k pounds, yet still drive like a car. I have no need for a truck in my life, but if I ever did, it would meet my needs far better than most other vehicles on the market.

I REALLY love the new Tuscon! When it's coming down the road it commands your attention with those LED DRL's...then there's the rest of the vehicle, every angle (pun intended) stand out!! I love how their not afraid to go out on the plank with styling, G70/80 also...B O L D and NOT boring

The Hyundai/KIA/Genesis company just keep pouring it on...and then some! You've got this coming, the GV70, the Ionic5 and a refresh of the Sonata in 2023, these guys just don't sit still

Cars AND SUVS, what a concept

Cars AND SUVS, what a concept

Funny you mention this. I'm still convinced the death of cars from the US auto makers wasn't totally because Americans have a love affair with gigantic vehicles. It's also because those auto makers invested all their resources into the large vehicles and let their cars wither and die. I rode in a neighbors full size Chevy truck this weekend. From a comfort and build quality standpoint it's in another league from any car Chevy builds/sells today. If I was a brand loyal consumer who walks onto a dealership and has to choose between a mediocre car and a well-built SUV/truck, it would be a no-brainer. This leads to lower cars sales and they eventually die away because no one wants them.

The Asian auto makers (and some European makers) still realize the value of selling cars, even in lower numbers, and continue to invest in them to ensure their entire product portfolio is robust with fresh/relevant products.

Big round of applause to Hyundai for still building interesting, performance based versions of their cars.

I haven't watched the video, but read a couple articles based on the press release. Sounds like a great car...except for, well,....the sound. Piping in fake engine noise is something that has got to stop. I don't think there is a single automaker who has done this well. I'll just roll down the windows if the exhaust noise isn't loud enough inside the car. The seats look amazing.

Now, we just need to get Hyundai to do a "N" something with RWD to compete with the new Toyobaru Twins. The Veloster is close, but it's FWD. We need another moderately priced RWD sports car to compete with the Twins and the Miata! They could just take the G70/Stinger frame and cut about 12~18" off the overall length and wheelbase, and maybe 1K pounds.

I'm a subscriber to his channel and watched this video the other day. No matter how you look at it, the Ionic5 is a winner, seriously The blend of retro/future is perfect. I'm not sure if I like the front or rear more

it looks good and a lot of room too. it should sell well...

if someone wants the N version of the Veloster but with a little more room, here's a good option...

or the Tucson with a bed to haul stuff around...

I was really hoping for the Kona N to have AWD but that would surely price it out of my price range too

Really love what this "never stop moving" company has been doing

Grill is a little big on the GV70 but overall it is a very nice design. I’m not really an SUV guy so doubt I’ll ever drive one but sounds like a very nice vehicle. That’s a big win for Genesis.

Its not your fathers Hyundai.

They have really stepped up over the years.

Better yet, a Soul N. Lower the thing a tad, give it more power and a DCT with the AWD and you'd have a little rally car. As-is the standard Soul is a shockingly good car.

Probably not the popular opinion but that GV 70 is kinda ugly

I like it except for the grill and whatever trick they’re trying to pull with the D pillar. But I like the rear lights and the overall styling is fairly cohesive. Grill is still better than the Lexus and whatever beat up the kidneys of recent BMWs.

By the way, not trying to minimize or disagree with your opinion. I can understand why you might not like it. But it did also get quite a bit of praise for nailing the ride quality but don’t remember hearing much about handling but it’s an SUV. Decent engine too.

I'm familiar with being in a camp like this as the C8 does NOTHING for me at all. I'd take the GV70 all day over the C8
