Can you Believe this is a Hyundai

I heard a few years back that some big wig left Audi for Hyundai.....after that, the quality started to go up on a car company just as laughable as Daewoo

Mustang has had the same body style now for almost a decade. It hasn't been a pretty car since the 60s

The 2015 Genesis Coupe is rumored to be either a 3.0L V6 twin-turbo or a 5.0 V8. Can't wait!!!

...and probably no manual either, too bad! That said, lookout Mustang GT and whatever other dozens of perf variants they have, Hyundai isn't playing around. Hey Camaro and Challenger, where you at.....oh yeah, in line at Fatt Burger or Carl's Jr ordering that 2000 calorie burger, LOL!

I think there will be a manual option, there must be! I do know that they have been working on developing an SMG-like transmission. If so, that's sick.

If the engine is a 3.0L TT it will remind me of the 300zx TT.
 
I know this is a Hyundai thread but we recently purchased a 2012 KIA Optima EX with all prem & tech packages... Absolutely love the car!!!

Never thought we would own a KIA but this thing is awesome!

Just yesterday I weathered the storm and installed Switchbacks in place of the stock amber turn signal bulbs... For those that dont know what switchbacks are the bulbs stay white when the parking lights are on and switch to amber amber when the turn signal is on...

^^ i have switchbacks on my Genesis, cool feature. Those Kia's are nice. I saw a black turbo model at night one day and thought it was an A4 or something along those lines. Very cool!
 
Love the blue that comes on the Optima turbo, would love to detail that color!

Kinda, but that ones darker and has a purple in it, the KIA is brighter but either way, it looks damn good! Also, love the matte paint on the Veloster turbo, give Hyundai credit for reaching out to what's hot in the youth market, its cheaper than wrapping it, that's for sure but the youth market seems to change on a dime but one thing that doesn't go out of style is POWA! The original Genesis coupe w/ the turbo 4 had what, 210 hp and then the re-design comes out and it goes up 65 hp, great idea!

12 pages on a Hyundai is the most interesting part of this thread. They have obviously raised some eyebrows. In my opinion they still look like almost every other sedan on the road. My now wife, inlaws, and a couple co workers had early to mid 2000's Hyundais and I can honestly say they were terrible cars mechanically and general build quality. I don't think ill ever see past those bad experiences.
It may be more expensive, but I'm more excited to see the new Cadillac Rwd flagship sedan.

just goes to show you not everyone is going to have the same taste whether it be cars, clothes, etc,. a few friends/cousins of mine have had Fords (not trucks) and they said they would never buy one again after some issues (paint, transmission, etc. ) they had with them. there is no right or wrong with whatever brand you choose, you just have to find what you're looking for in each and decide what suits you best. some people are stuck on old perceptions and don't think that things will improve over time and so be it if that's the way they think, everyone is entitled to their own opinion...
 
I was very impressed with the new Genesis at the Detroit Auto show!! That is, until I saw the the Kia K900... Wow! Too damned bad it's not AWD! The interior of the Kia is stellar (pun intended, lol).

I love my Optima. What Hyundai/ Kia has managed to do in such a short time while keeping their prices low is quite impressive.
