Rotary Buffers
Rotary Buffers are the most powerful type of tool used to work on paint. These tools use a direct drive gear mechanism to rotate a pad under pressure in a single direction. This type of tool works fastest for removing sanding marks after wetsanding, serious paint defects and oxidation off both cars and boats. These types of tools will tend to leave holograms behind that are best removed using dual action type polishers for a swirl-free finish even after multiple washings.

Re: Articles by Mike Phillips

Well, I guess it's time to shutdown the forum and just make this the homepage. :p

Re: Articles by Mike Phillips

Actually, I needed this list for two reasons,

1) I have articles spread out all the AG forum and sometimes it's too time consuming to remember where that at to snag the clickable link to insert into a thread as part of an answer to a question; so by having a list I'm hoping to be able to find them faster.

2) Over the years I often times have people, both on the forums and in the real world tell me they read my articles and recently when someone said that to me I asked them if they had seen a fairly new article on whatever topic we were discussing and he said "no" and that's when I thought I should assemble them in one list.

That's all, easy for me to find, easy for anyone else that's insterested...

I don't know how many articles I have on MOL but once in a while I try to re-write them so can post them over here without plagiarizing myself. :D

:)

Re: Articles by Mike Phillips

Very nice way to organize your articles and very helpful!

Re: Articles by Mike Phillips

:thankyousign::thankyousign::thankyousign: :urtheman:

I think the above says it all! I'm always trying to search for your articles so I can send my friends the link to read but the searching can be so time consuming (gotta make them Autogeeks too :props:)

I'm gonna bookmark this thread now!

Great idea Mike! Thank you!

That's why I took the time to consolidate all the info in the ONR: The Definitive Thread, Mike. I just wanted to have it handy and help others find the info.

This is great, only thing left is to sticky it!

Re: Articles by Mike Phillips

Well, I guess it's time to shutdown the forum and just make this the homepage. :p

Oh, You know I was joking. By that I meant "Here is the Fountain of Detailing Knowledge" :props:

Actually, I needed this list for two reasons...
...That's all, easy for me to find, easy for anyone else that's insterested... :)

Thank you for compiling all of your incredibly informative threads! Very convenient. :thankyousign::thankyousign: :urtheman:

Re: Articles by Mike Phillips

I think the articles also allow many respected senior members add to them with their unique experience. MOL is still evolving because of that.
Helps everyone teach each other, even newbs. IMO

Nice! STICKY, STICKY, STICKY, STICKY, STICKY!!!

This is a work in progress as I'm still adding more articles, I think I just added another dozen or so since I started this list yesterday and I have about 5-6 more pages to sift through and add articles that I've written since September or 2009 when I joined the AG Team.

:)

I agree.

The cool thing about a discussion forum is that it's interactive, if I create an article and another forum member adds to it then the article becomes better and everyone can take from it what they will.

Helps everyone teach each other, even newbs. IMO

There was a member of my original forum back in 2002 called TheArtofPolishingPaint.com and his signature line was,

"Each one teach one"

And I can't remember his name because if I could I would give him credit for his signature line and actually philosophy because I've shared it and practiced and passed it along ever since.
