Car Meet photos - and my Z...

Car meet photos tonight... Nice selection of cars. What I find hilarious is that all these "show" cars, and yet every single one of them, I found swirls or RIDS or marring. Then I look at mine, and I have none I could probably make a case for my own detailing business right then and there.... lol

anyways, enjoy.

And my Z... waxed it with SN last night after a good Pinnacle and ONR wash. I took some dusk shots this time around... something different.

The 370Z is bad@ss... the more I see them the more I like them. They fixed basically all the flaws on the 350 and then made them better looking to boot.

And Nissan's pearl white is a beautiful color.

Thanks Bobby... you are SO right. I always look at other cars' finishes while at stop lights, parking lots, etc. If my wife is with me, I always say "Hon, look at that! You see all those swirls there?!?!?!? ugh!!!"

Mike, you KNOW you love those Titanium tips... they look sweet in person esp against my pearl paint I figured you'd want one for your Vette LOL.

I have to agree with you... the 370 is pretty much a stark improvement over the 350. Handling, power, SRM, looks, etc...

Bill, I am so sorry.... yeah the show was in Cedar Rapids... It's on every Thursday but at different locations. I'll pm you the locations. You'd drive 2 hours tho? Also, are there any shows in Des Moines you think is worth while for me to drive to??? Would love to come up there and meet you.

Thanks a ton guys.... I am debating spacers, but I heard that really messes up handling and is for pure looks only. Can tend to wobble unless you get a really good long wheel stud.... The drop I dunno. I am really happy with where she is at stock. Already is uber-low.

If not did you do anything at application (Ice cold QD) to attempt combat against sweating?

Hey Corey... long time...

Thanks for the kind words! I love your Sky as well.

As for the SN, surprisingly, NO ISSUES whatsoever with SN. In fact, I've put 2 coats of SN on her already, spread out 3 weeks or so, after a wash each time. Went on really easy and came off really easy with no issues, and no sweating. I think the key is really applying it uber thin. That's all you need. It's hard to see too with it being white and my paint being white, but I know it's there because of the feel and the look

Nice Z. I'd have loved a 370 myself, but I'm really happy with my 08 350 especially with the huge mark DOWN it had in price due to end of model line and year and they really wanted them off the lot as 370's were on the way (December 08). It was literally marked down 20% below msrp which is crazy since especially in CA at least, usually these kinds of cars are marked UP and you still have to try to talk them down.

I never really considered white before, but I suppose that's because most white is just plain white with a clearcoat it seemed like. The pearlescent white on the Nissan & Infiniti's is really nice though

I wouldn't go every week, but I'd drive 2 hours a few times a season ... looks like there is some good turnout so it would be worth the drive. There are shows almost every night of the week in DSM, I have not checked many of them out. I'll have to scout them out and let you know.

I can see why you couldn't refuse the deal. I probably would have done the same thing. I had a G35C before this, and that car was a delight to own as well.

Your comment on my white pearl paint is precisely why I got it in the first place. It's not a plain flat white like others... the flake on this white is insane. I know a lot of it is in the prep, detailing, and wax to make the flake pop, but in it itself, it's gorgeous IMO. When my wife and I saw that color on the dealer lot that one day, that was the end of it all. Till that day, I have NEVER considered white at all. EVER. I've always had black cars.... Nissan's pearl white did me over...

Thanks Kronos... yes, I get compliments all the time... I have gotten more compliments on my car in driving it around for 3 months than I have in 5 years combined of owning my RX7 or G35C.
