can be a little tricky.Car has to be cold and not in the sun.I use wetcoat as a spraywax.spray 2 or three squirts on a micro and wipe effortlessly and super hydrophobic.
 
I have only used the latest version and I immediately diluted it 50%with distilled water. I love using it like a qd and have been impressed with the gloss it adds to my white truck. I LOVE the way it makes textured plastic look and even diluted 50/50 seems to maintain a semi-glossy look on rubber and plastic for a few months. For me it's actually easier to use than opti-seal which opti-seal is real easy. I dunno what it's like undiluted but I know it has exceeded my expectations once diluted.

I like the Gyeon wet coat a lot better. So hydro2 is now used for wheels only.

Yes, pure white, and that first version Reload I bought back around late '12. or early '13 was a very good product I thought.

I felt it was a major err to fix what wasn't broke.
 
I've used Reload twice on top of Essence and been very happy with the application and the results. It's funny how some love it and some hate it. I guess it's good to have a lot of product choices to keep everyone happy.

I admit that trying to improve and add more silica inside Reload at 2014 was a mistake, we tried to do better sealant, stonger and more durable, though it worked for some but not for all, so it came back to us, thats why about a year ago we have gone back to the original formula we have started with reload, about a year ago we have replaced free of charge ALL the stock for all resellers in the USA ,including AutoGeek,
all the Reload sold from a year ago is the same as original formula.
the best way to apply it is, spray on the mf , wipe on the surface , take another fresh Mf and wipe off the hazy surface and the residues.
love or hate it thats customer choice ofcourse , but now thats what Reload version is, same as first version we made few years ago.

This very last .5L bottle of Reload I bought from from Autogeek is dated 12 05 15.

May I ask, was the product again changed-reformulated after this date?

While this version I now have seems better with much less difficulty in use than the prior version which I was personally having difficulties with the oily holograms, it still does not seem exactly identical to the Reload from a few years back.

I do have a very small amount of the much older original Reload, that came in the white bottles. This newer version does have a much stronger Solvent smell to it.
 
Used reload the other day on my dad's dark Grey rav4. Smelled a bit like eraser actually. . Was a very refreshing smell for a sealant but didn't have any issues with it. Used it outside with the sun out. It was my first time using it and I thought I'd have a lot of trouble but it was fine. A few spritz on the towel and one or two spritz on the panel, spread it out and then buffed it off. Left a very slick feel. On my dad's hood I ended up putting down 10 sprays of Reload just to see what would happen. Was still fine, no oily streaks.
 
I just had my 1st wow moment with a Carpro product...

I used my Med. Grade Speedy Prep Towel with plenty of D114 as lube and like always, no marring.
Here's a before shot after using the clay towel. Swirl City. My goal was simply to have a smooth surface to lay down somekind of protection on this paint. No paint correction taking place. I didn't even think of bringing my polisher along, my plan was clay then seal.

@Avi Carpro. How long is this application expected to last? Bottle says durable up to 6 months. Can I count on that?
My bottle was produced on 10/25/15 exp. 10/24/17. Thx.

If we have a bottle that is about a year old, how can we discern if it's the version that was discontinued or the original/current version?

By the date on the bottom of the bottle, but like I, one would have to ask AVI-Corey when formula versions changed, as I surely don't remember myself?

I would assume that no matter "where" the product was sourced from, the date on the bottle bottom should be the key indicator of what version any of us folks have on hand.

With the oily version I had bought, I believe that was dated 2014, and although it was smeary and you could wipe for days and not get rid of the films, I'm sure due to its high concentration it was in many ways an excellent product as far as longevity was concerned.

Videos seemed to prove that.

But I had found the very first version I bought, which I believe was the original Reload in the .4L white bottle, was as easy as pie, as simple to use as a detailer spray. Easy on, and easy off, no streaks, no high spots, no smearing, nada.

Be careful what you wish for. I would not want to own a black car even though it looks awesome. I had enough once I had my uncles vette for a few weeks.

The key word is "up to". So it may last a few weeks to 6 months. Like everything esel it depends on how the car is maintained and the surrounding environment.

Thanks. It's a shame how we've got this surprise light rain all of a sudden to mess everything up. [not IMO, but in the eyes of normL people they see it as perfection ruined] I've already spoken to the owner and promised them a rain check... All the rain check really involves is a quik wipedown with Last Touch and clean the exterior windows real quik:)

Personally, I get a kick out of a just washed vehicle beading like no tomorrow in fresh rain:)

I've said since 1994, never another black car again, unless I miraculously ran into a dead mint black 1967 Vette for little dollars, a literal buy of the century, and the original color was black.

Here in the desert, with the high summer heat, and the dust which is murder to keep a clean car more than just a few mere hours, black is out of the question for me for the foreseeable future. I know often that "white" looks like "nothing" sometimes, even after a major detail, but it is a cool color, a safe color, and a color that won't drive you too nuts down here with car care.

I'd rather have a black Fleetwood Brougham than a white Suburban [or is that a Tahoe]? to have to maintain. Lol. The biggest PITA for me is having to deal with the sheer size of some of these SUV's. [those roofs are a chore] They should pay straight double!

But I can't argue with you about white making a huge difference in the vehicles temperature.. You can't even take a 15 min. break in a black vehicle without feeling like you're in an oven.

Yeah, it's a Tahoe. Almost bought the Suburban, but it truly looked like a house on wheels. Yep, the roof is murder, even just to wash, and dry.

Now my black "stinkin linkin" pictured here was about 2-3 weeks old, a major 2 day detail I recall when I took these pics. Half hour later, it probably didn't look like this.

And in Chicago, and in summer, I couldn't even get in the car after it say outside any length of time. I'd have to reach in, start it with the A/C full blast, close thw door, wait outside, then wait a good 10-12 minutes before I could even get in.

Down here in NM? Certain brain damage and heat stroke! LOL
 
I guess I had the bad Reload version. I contacted Corey on CarPro's site and was told to contact the seller (Autopia) for a refund. All I wanted was a bottle of product that worked. CarPro should have put the word out right away and their reputation would not have been tarnished. There was a lot of back and forth and "user error" comments made. Thanks for letting us know it was not "user error". The admission should have come sooner.

Yeah, I wasn't exactly too thrilled either when I had to send back 1L of the smeary version (came from AG as two .5L Bottles) to Nick at Autogeek on my dime for the refund. The shipping costs back to them were not cheap. Shippers, it seems no matter who today, really sock us folks!

At the time I bought, the issues were then unknown apparently, and that new version was initially touted as being the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Washing with shampoo wouldn't even remove the oily films I had found, but Colly #845 did the trick!

And nope, this wasn't on my white Tahoe in my Avatar which has CQ UK on it, (and I reserve the older reload version for it), but it was on my magenta Pearl metallic Kia.
