CarPro Trix and new Iron-X Scent

In the QA Avi wrote it says it works fine on chrome. See post number 2 here http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/42651-review-carpro-iron-x.html

Not Tarmalade, the yellow one that came out after Tar X and is in a bottle and description sounds similar but cost a few bucks more.

I think you forgot you like Fixer Davey :). Certainly you don't consider that pricey compared to some polishes you use. :dblthumb2:

All in all I personally think the majority of products we enthusiasts purchase are overpriced from almost every brand.
While I don't consider Fixxer pricey, there are better products out there IMO. I did like the way Fixxer worked, but after playing with it more I feel I can get better results with other products I have. Also I'm a little tougher on CP products since I had terrible issues with Cquartz and fog fight. That said, I stand by my statement that the majority of CP products are slightly overpriced and don't always do what they promise as well as they promise. Just my opinion.

How many of you buy products by the gallon or in 5L quantities? I feel kinda dumb that I bought so much product over the last year in large quantity, most of which is unused. Now with the new stuff coming out it makes you wonder if you did the right thing.

Would you disagree?

Maybe I should qualify that... They are not overpriced because we buy them so obviously they are priced right. :props:

I don't disagree, that's just a pretty anti-mfr sentiment coming from someone who apparently derives some income from mfrs for reviewing their products (unless I misunderstood something along the way).

I'm not sure I agree...if you go to the supermarket and want to buy frozen peas, and there is Green Giant but the store brand is half the price...is the Green Giant overpriced? Are they really the same? Are the Green Giant better, but only worth 20% more? These and the other great mysteries of life...

I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not trying to use up product I bought last year...I'm trying to use up product I bought in 2003-2005.

The thing that put me off about CarPro is the big issues they had with the first formulas of Cquartz and Fogfight. I know a lot of companies improve their formulas, but most of the time not because of major performance issues.

Who has been supplying you with Eraser Bob? Is it Flannigan?Im the MAN
Thanks for clearing-up my confusion.

I personally haven't purchased the Eraser product...But I've been known to use it.

:)

It has long been suspected that Ninja Bob steals away in the dark of night to pilfer Carpro Eraser from unsuspecting yet overstocked detailing enthusiasts. But this remains to be proven...

:D

I awoke one evening to the sound of broken glass and smell of Eraser... As I crept through my hallway gun in hand I found Bob climbing back out of my window with a bottle in tow!! Well, I can't say he didn't warn me! You should have just said something Bob! I would have saved you the drive.

You should have shot that thief.

Haha. Well that does make me feel better :) Glad I'm not the only one.
