Anyone use CP Trix as a clay lube, sorta 3-in-1 decon? Work well?

Yes, it works fine if you keep it wet. ^ But the smell is bad.

FWIW I have noticed that if I am claying and happen to pass over an area where a tar remover was used and not fully wiped off, that the clay tends to get this slimy white residue on it and starts breaking down.

This was using AF Oblitarate as the tar remover, clay magic blue clay and ONR as lube...

Just my 2c

It's not intended for that and it can melt a clay bar or clay pad rendering them useless and wasting you money.

Noted - thanks for the responses. Except for the smell and he constant bottle shaking to kept it well mixed, any reason to choose Iron X + Tar X over TRIX?

IMO, yes.... a combination product will always be a sacrifice of sorts compared to using its constituent ingredients on their own.

The way I see it is if you were to first remover the (bigger) tar spots, you will then expose more of the iron contaminants allowing the Iron-X more 'access' to the contamination to dissolve it, and should therefore see a better results in the end.
