CERAKOTE enters the Auto Ceramic Coating Market

With all the buzz right now, just have to sit back and see how it unfolds........too good of a company to try and pull something on a low grade product.
I have it installed on a 2024 Sting Ray at customers request....

You’re probably right about the mask. I figure something is better than nothing mostly based on not being able to smell anything when wearing those masks.
 
There is a YouTube video with Pan & CEO of Cerakote.
There was a video with Mike G, Pan etc.
They are going to bring out a v2 to rectify the problem.

No its from Pan the Organiser youtube videos recently.
Cerakote CEO Takes Responsibility........
Sorry on mobile.
They are working on v2.
It was curing issues in cooler conditions.
I have been in contact with them and when v2 is released I am going to try.

No worries.
If you have proof of delivery/received free either by being a pro detailer or proof of purchase if bought they will send one out free of charge includes freight. Email them from there website and get them to put you on the list for when v2 comes out. They are working hard as you would imagine.

I'm on board with them as a tester... direct contact with a few people.

There is already a video of the CEO's word being misunderstood..........gotta love social media...lol

Yep social media just can't help themselves.
Keep me posted I'm curious to see how this pans out.
Do you personally see it being a cure mechanism problem?
You've got to trust the scienctists.
The way I look at it if there is a problem that's ok it's how fast they can correct and make it better it is the key. All other aspects of it sounds very good, game changing.

Ill post about it but it won't be until April/May.

I had no issues with application at all, although the car went under a cover 24 hours after application and no testing was done..
 
The slickest coating that I've ever used and the easiest coating that I've ever used. 2 months in, couldn't ask for better beading.

IMO we have a lot of user error with the YouTube detailers

Not sure of the exact error(s), but the first problem that I see is the car wash process itself.
The youtubers are so busy trying to promote products they'll use 2 or 3 different chemicals just trying to do a simple car wash. There's a very good chance this is causing a film to develop on top of the coating. This will cause water to sheet instead of bead.
If I were them I would clay the paint after washing and see if that fixes the problem.
If it doesn't then it's either in their prepping process or the application of the product.

Have you heard anything when V2 is been released?
 
I hope the new version has all of the kinks worked out. I ordered a free bottle when v1 was released and just received my bottle today. I’m hesitant to put it on a car because the last thing I want to do is redo a coating because of a subpar product.

I guess you had a bad experience with it.
In what way?
Mine is on its way 1st time user.
It's taken awhile for v2 so I would assume things have been ironed out.
Keep me informed.

Never used it but the consensus on YT is that it overpromised and underdelivered. I don't put much into YT detailer videos but even the CEO admitted to having some issues with the original formulation.

Yep saw those as well.
Some people says it still performs well and haven't had a problem with it. I use YT as a guide not the final decision always.
The CEO fronted which was good.
I think they would have done some quite tweaking they took awhile to release v2.
