Has anyone heard of this product ? If not, I am sure you soon will. They have a video of a guy hammering the car or some object and it never scratches the paint at all

After being a member of AG for about 7 years ...I still follow the rules

From my limited knowledge and research it appears to just be another ceramic glass coating like C1, CQ, 22ple...

I called Jared and its more than the conventional coatings out right now, He took a Cigarette Lighter and pounded the side panel of a car, I mean really hard....not a scratch showed up after repeatedly doing this.....But its extremely expensive too

I have watched the videos. But CQ and almost all the others have done the same / similar test. I personally have not liked the gorilla marketing they have done to certain groups I am a part of.

I was contacted by this company several times to try their product (via email as seen below, via instagram, via facebook, etc), but they have failed to convince me... here is a copy of an emaill conversation between myself and their CEO.

Hi,

I am the general manager of a group of companies called Ceramic Pro Americas. We are is launching a new coating product for the car care industry on the American market in November this year and is now looking for entrepreneurs interested in becoming distributors for our range of products. Being a distributor places you in charge of all sales in your chosen region. You will be supplied with marketing material, products, training, sale support etc.

Ceramic Pro´s products are revolutionizing the way we protect surfaces in Europe and Asia. In comparison to other surface protection products on the market, Ceramic Pro 9H forms a permanent bond to the clear coat which does not delaminate. Once Ceramic Pro 9H has cured, it can NOT be removed by chemicals. The only way to remove it is by machine polishing.

Its permanent feature makes Ceramic Pro 9H unique amongst similar products on the market which in general only have a few years durability. The product is multi layered making it scratch resistance thus a superior coating product.

To view demonstration videos, go to (website) , YouTube or Facebook

Our products characteristics:
* Handles temperatures up to 1300-3600 F
* Permanent bonding to most surfaces (stainless steel included)
* Protects a surface from corrosion
* Super gloss
* Chemical resistant, no chemical can dissolve the coating
* Hardness above 9H
* Non-toxic
* Transparent
* Super hydrophobic
* UV resistant
* All products have been tested by SGS, the world´s leading inspection, verification and certification entity. The products achieved the highest possible result in each test. All products have been tested and certified as non-toxic.

Hi Peter,

Your product sounds very interesting.

I am intrigued by some of your product claims such as:
- Handles temperatures up to 1300-3600 F
- Hardness above 9H
- Permanent bonding to most surfaces

Just to be clear, this hardness rating claim is based on the Mohs Hardness Scale? and when you say permanent, you mean it will maintain it's gloss, hydrophobic properties, protection ability, chemical resistance, etc for an infinite amount of time? I am interested in learning more about these claims and how they were tested.

I am currently an authorized installer for CQuartz Finest and Opti-Coat Pro coatings. Many people will consider these 2 products to be the most premium coatings on the market today. I would consider sampling your product to see if it lives up to my expectations, however there are many other products available that all make different claims but never gain any major attention so it will take a lot of evidence to convince me that this 'new product' is better than the current leading coatings on the market.

Thanks, and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi Zach,
The product is quite similar to Opti coat. Detailers that has worked with both products often say that Ceramic Pro has more slickness and gloss. Ceramic pro can also be multi layered which means that the customer decides on how well he wants his paint to be protected. We are setting up our business in the states right now and will be commence selling after SEMA. Send me your details and we will call you as soon as possible.

Talk soon

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the response. I can't help but notice that you avoided the questions I had asked you in my original email.

Can you provide any concrete details and test results for your product? If not, I have no reason to consider it as CQuartz Finest is already a product that is slicker and glossier than OC.

Thanks,

Hi Zach,
I did not avoid your questions I am just more interested in letting you see the result in real life. As far as I know ceramic Pro is the only glass coating product that has been officially tested by SGS.

The hardness test that has been done is something called a pencil test and is used in the coating industry. Mohs hardness scale measures the scratch resistance of minerals.

You can compare Cquartz with our product we call Light. the product is extremely easy to apply but does not give the same protection as 9H. After x amount of layers of 9H you apply a last layer of Light.
I am not trying to force you to try something new! This mail was sent to you as an opportunity.
Get back to me if you are still interested.

Best regards

Peter

Long story short - he gave me very general facts, simply directed me to watch videos instead of providing me with actual test results that he claimed to have, and was not able to truly tell me why this product was any different than other products available. In fact, he stated it was quite similar to Opti-Coat. Seems like just another product trying to take advantage of the coating market.

Their 'aggressive' marketing was also very annoying. If I said "no thank you" via email, you do not need to contact me via every form of social media as well.

Likewise, although a nice guy from another local shop came by to present the product to me. Not a bad experience at all whatsoever.
All in all, you have to buy the (1) kit which includes a couple of different surface coatings & would cost approx $620.00 I said I would think about it & I really don't see the benefits of something that costs that much over opti-coat pro

$620? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I'm sorry, I'll stick with cqfinest.

Got all the same contact attempts by Peter and Arash. Nothing has convinced me along with the cost per vehicle JUST TO BUY IT.

Not sure who keeps editing my posts in this thread but it is crap...

typical overpriced product, Probably similar to a product from indonesia called "beeds"

SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY BUCKS for a dealer intro kit?!?! :laughing: :rolleyes:

That looks very difficult to buff off based on the videos.
Also I've seen the same exact anti scratch test with the lighter and cquartz..

They were nice enough to send me a few samples,as we are finest installers. I found it VERY difficult to remove! Very expensive also. Also had a nice visit from the modesta rep. Excellent product but with the expense and needing to cure with lamps, does not fit our bussiness. We stay and will stay with only finest

I received a sample but haven't tried it yet. I really don't think they understand detailers or the American market. They are extremely pushy, beyond just being annoying. They downright pissed me off, and I took the sample pretty much to get the guy to shut up. Instead of honest facts, they just start spouting off all kinds of insane claims. I'm not saying they aren't true, but it comes off as a scam. I don't know how many times the guy claimed that I'll being doing at least 1 coating a day if I start offering it. While I do quite a few coatings per month, one coating a day is just stupid and unrealistic, and hearing him repeat that over and over really annoyed me.

...Hardness of Above 9H has been proven by SGS along with other properties.

Thanks every one.

Funny - when I asked them to provide proof they dodged the question on multiple occasions and simply stated "it has been lab tested".

I also explained to them that there are many hardness scales and asked for clarification of which hardness they are describing... they could not answer this question either.

If you don't know your product, you won't sell me on bogus claims. :nomore:

I'll also be sticking with CQFinest, not just because it looks and performs great, but because CarPro really know their products and can provide helpful and factual answers to all of my questions.

Sorry. I had to comment on this. I've spoken with Jared already a few times and everything I asked him for he sent me. Test that were done including sgs. I asked him about the scale they used and it is the MOHS scale for mineral hardness and also says it on their site. Jared hasn't been pushy at all and has been sending me lots of info. I've been asking a ton of questions and so far they've all been answered. If you look at the European car forums and have it translated on your computer (unless your phone can do it) you will find lots and lots of people using it and being extremely happy with it. If I can find it again there was a guy that had a review after a year of having it on or for however long it's been out and still performed like day 1. Also they are giving you samples to try next to anything you want.

Edit: I am going with cquartz because I don't mind doing my truck every 1.5 years. I enjoy detailing and for the price it's perfect. Ceramic pro is quite pricey.
