Changed my look up a little!

Why does this pick look wrong to me? What's with the missing wheel studs? Or does Porsche use a different mounting system for their wheels?

Forgive the stupid questions, but I've been at work all day looking at STATS on the computer and my brain is fried.

IME German cars use lug bolts, you have to hold the wheel up to the hub and screw in the bolts, being that these are RED (high visibility so you don't leave them on)I would guess at them being a temporary stud to hold your wheel on while installing the bolts.

^he's right. I prefer this system because a broken stud is not fun to deal with.

Ah, like what my buddy's '72 VW Bug had, bolts not studs. :xyxthumbs:

No problem Don. Yep, as others have said, Porsche and others use lug 'bolts' instead of studs. These are guide studs to hold the wheel on when removing the bolts and also to hold the wheel on while installing the bolts!
