This was a great customer who knew I was the right detailer for this job due to my website and reviews.
He was selling it and wanted to fix the paint before he sold it.
This truck has gone through a few winters with snow sludge stuck to it and then hand washed at the local Wash-n-Scratch, that's what I call Gas Station Car Washes and it's so true in this case.

I was at the beach and water run off was a concern so I power washed the rims and engine without violating the law.
Waterless Washed with Optimum WW,
Speedy Prep Towel and soapy water for decontamination
Meguiar's M205 Ultra Fine Polish
Meg's Micro Fiber Cutting Pads on my Rupes big *** foot
Meguiar's Micro Fiber Finishing Pad on ^^^^
D301 Finishing Wax

I didn't take alot of pics, I guess I wasn't in the mood but you'll get the picture from the few pics I took.

All the beautiful spider webs ( I'm surprised I didn't see the word "Amazing", I crack myself up)

The next day my customer called and said the first person who showed up thew 30,000 dollars at him and speed away in a burn out!
Just goes to show you if you put a little money into your car before you sell it you'll get top dollar for it.

Very nice indeed. The investment paid off.

Sweet work now go after your clients replacement car, lol.

Nice job for sure. What speed were you using on the rupes?

Great job, as always. Loved the reflection shot of the hood too.

How long did it take to complete?

Total on the job was 10 hrs with 30 min lunch.
He was paying for a polish job and light interior cleaning. The interior was very clean. This customer loves his cars.
All my love went into the paint, the interior took under an hour to vacuum and wipe down.
So about 7.5 hours on the paint itself.

Great job! I wish he could have tried to sell it and gotten a few bids with it in its previous condition, then had you work on it and be able so see how many thousands he made by having it in perfect condition.

I also echo those saying you need some commission in your fee structure!

3.5 for cutting
6 for polishing
4 for wax

6 for polishing? I asked because I just picked up a rupes 21 but haven't used it yet. Curious as to why you used a higher speed to polish and lower speed to cut. I didn't think the higher speeds like 6 were needed on that machine because of the large throw.

Jesus, 12 passes? Does that mean you used the same type of pad and polish on a section 12 times??

Low speed cuts faster/better.
High speed polishes.
I use high speed all the time.

I don't think you understand what a pass is.
Meaning one pass with the pad is one pass. So each area got about 12 passes. Make sense?
12 back and forth/up and down motions. Or about a minute or two per area.
Not working the area 12 different times with multiple passes.
A pass is a pass.
Same pad for about 3 panels of work, cleaned put up to dry, grad a new pad for the next sections.

a, no, a pass is a pass.
never heard of a section pass.

When you move the buffer from one side to the other that is one pass.
Meaning you passed over the paint once.
So back and forth four times is four passes.
This is what all my teachers have said as they teach.

Call it whatever you want.

That vehicle looks great! :dblthumb2:
