Looks like chemical guys got on the coating train. Its call SS6 (second skin 6). Looks like DP coating at a higher price. They have a video on Youtube

Quite a bit more in price for 2oz of product.


The youtube video claims duration to be:
"for years not months" & "forever or a very long period of time."

The website claims:
Protection Duration --- 1 year+ depending on climate and application
 
More expensive than Opti Coat 2.0. WHich has been battle tested for years
 
Where's the other 5 generations of second skin?

Favorite Line from the vid is " its like nothing on the market"

Opticoat,Quartz,DP Coating. Getching, 22ple?
 
The last time I went to their store, they said they were working on coatings....but for a product that only lasts for 1 year, I would rather get Wolf's Hardbody for nearly 1/2 the price. Its price point is a bit disappointing to say the least.

everything from CG is over priced and half as good as competitors on the market
 
They're so close, but...

When did they generation 1 thru 5 of SS? He says its a "6th generation coating" ???

"Its unlike any product on the market"..."it created a brand new category for detailing protective coatings

"Improved clarity on the glass"

- Really?

Looks like easy application though

Who knows if that stuff lasts even a year. The trim coating lasted me 2 weeks. Its seems people are stretching the word "coating"
 
For that price I'd go with gtechniq c1 or nano. That pricey for what you're getting. The only CG stuff I like are their V line polishes and V7.

I used it my dad's Tacoma. I cant say if it lasts a year or more, but it has been doing its job for about 6 months now. :xyxthumbs: I have noticed the term "coating" has been loosely thrown around lately though.
