I'm actually talking about the lil CG blower. I'm not sure how it compares to the Makita. My MB is awesome, but I understand your situation.

Ummmm, I have the CG blower(the one initially talked about and in the picture). I clearly mentioned that I've never tried the Makita in a previous post in this thread.
 
Let's put this in proper perspective for a minute. This CG blower is a second generation version of their old one. Unless you just bought it recently then chances are you have the older one. This smaller blower is much more powerful than either of my shop vacs and every bit as powerful as a Leaf blower. Oh yeah...it's LESS THAN 50 bucks!lets take my jeep for example. If you are a towel dry guy, and there is NOTHING wrong with that, then you are having a hard time drying a wrangler. There is hidden water EVERYWHERE! I was able to use the blower to completely dry the jeep but you use something like this in conjunction with your favorite towel. It works so well. Wiper cowls, headlights, rear bumper decks, window edges, all things you are not going to dry as well without forced air. Try it out I promise it will reduce your drying time and yield good results.
 
I wouldnt expect it to be able to dry a car but for $44 I would think it is going against the HIGHLY overpriced Metro Motorcycle air blaster..Actually it probably can hang with all the Metro units but the master blaster and at a MUCH cheaper price. id never pay the price Metro wants I got a knock off of the Motorcycle on at walmart for $20 few years ago and it works great..I was thinking of getting one of these new CG ones as a backup. I have only ever used my blower to blow out crevices and mirrors and such..so it has done exactly what i have wanted. So this would be in the same boat..not expecting it to dry a car but blow out water you cannot get with a towel.

It's not the greatest but you get the point. Small enough to hold in one hand, towel in the other. Rubber cone won't damage paint. More air output than a shop vac and leaf blower. I have. I reason to embellish the truth here. I know how you people judge detailing products by their price, (any wax thread) but don't judge this. It's awesome.
 
It's a wonderful thing... i really would like to see another blower same size as this with this much strength.... excluding anything from metros -_-

I'm pretty sure this is a re-badged Makita blower.

Also no one mentioned its vacuum function, but seems to be powerful as well.
 
It does come with a debris bag and can be use as a vac but it wouldn't be that great with the shape of it and the length of the Nozzle. I saw what it said under chemical guys badge and it wasn't makita.
 
I'm pretty sure it's a Chinese-made product - I bought one for about $30 that looks very similar, just in red and no speed-control, branded as "J.C. Kawasaki". I can use it to dry the whole car when I do a rinseless wash - takes a bit more time, but works well enough. These are very common over here - every corner car wash has them.
 
Just washed my wife's crv today and tried out my foam clay block I found. The foam did great! I also rinsed every thing clean and then used the blower and a drying towel. Not one little spot and it went FAST!!
