Chemical Guys "Unholy Trinity" on a 2009 F150

If you apply BL with a blue or red finessing pad with no pressure its like applying a sealant. I'd go glaze with DA/finishing pad, then 2 coats BL by hand, then V7. I promise you its worth the effort. The glaze works perfect applying it prior to BL. Also BL does have very mild abrasives in the same category as Menz PO85rd. In fact I've replace PO85rd with BL as a final polish step with a black or tangerine polishing pad... but BL can do what PO85rd can't like lay down protection and act as a glaze, and it's the perfect foundation product prior to any sealant or wax. I use it on every car. Try in on door jams or under the hood and trunk areas too.

Thanks for the help Silver, I'll do the 2 coats by hand next time for sure

Ive always been impressed with CG's products, from their microfibers to their air freshener, always winners.

You could add carnauba as well if you desired. It would only improve the look I'm sure

I'm confused. I thought Glossworkz was a wash solution.

I've been using CG Citrus was and gloss, and it's really good. It's strong though.

I could see using...

Glossworkz wash
Blacklight
V7
Carnauba (dodo or pinnacle)

In the past, I've used the following on a black Tacoma..

CG Citrus Wash and Gloss
Blacklight
V7
Zymol Carbon

The results were outstanding.

Glossworkz is a carwash and there is a also "glossworkz glaze" which is a newer product that is in the upper echelon of filling glazes.

Ok help me out here guys. I used BL last night for the first time and seemed to use more than I would have expected. I probably used 3 oz for a full size PU truck. I applied it using a GG, blue pad, speed 2-3. It was a dark color so it should have been easy to see it going on but I just didn't seem to get very far before needing more on the pad. In the CG BL video they were putting it on by hand but had pretty good amount of coverage, I would assume to get the filling. With the DA I was getting more of what you would want if you were applying 845. When I was done the pad had plenty of BL left in it so I know the coverage was there, I'm thinking a HT would be a better route. Are you guys putting it on that thin?

Yeah you used way to much. Try it on speed 5 prep pad and apply thin. I probably did 6 cars now and still have more then half a bottle.

Black or blue ccs pad works fine. But you must prep pad first. You can even give the pad a quick spray of v7 to help prep it. Little secret. Lol

OK thanks, I'm going to have to play with it a little. I was expecting it to be thicker coverage being a glaze. I'm going to give it shot with a wht lc pad followed by blue and increase the speeds.

Yeah but it also is suppose to have sealant in it as well and as you know sealants should be spread lightly.
