Chemical guys

I use the leather cleaner and it works really well. Their v7 spray sealent does a good job imo. I also bought an apron which is nice because its a bit longer than others

How good are their microfiber towels? They seems to focus on that a lot. I have yet to purchase expensive microfiber towels but I was thinking about buying the cobra ones from AG. Will depend on shipping I guess, I fell off my chaiir when I my last order's shipping+duty bill!

Was just wondering how many of you are using just chemical guys stuff? id love to see you collection of CG stuff! I just ordered a bunch of items and cant wait to try them out.

To the OP: I just ordered some of their stuff last month (as I just started trying various lines of products again), but the items I've used I really like. I could post a pic, but it's only 3 products atm (Mr. Pink, Wash & Wax shampoos + AllClean). I plan to order some more stuff from their line in the future.

What do you guys like for interior general cleaning (dash, trim, etc...not leather, carpet, or upholstery)? I'm looking at

1) Green Clean
2) InnerClean
3) Nonsense

I like that InnerClean has UV protection, but don't know about pineapple scent...not my favorite smell. The other 2 don't appear to offer any kind of UV protection. Appreciate suggestions. Thanks.

I'm currently using their AllClean APC (original, not AllClean + Citrus) for general cleaning all around on the interior; it has worked very well for me. When I run out, I'll be getting the AllClean + Citrus since it will last me longer with its better dilution rates (AllClean is 1:4 and AllClean + Citrus is 1:10 for ext and 1:20 int). GreenClean (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...uys-greenclean-interior-exterior-cleaner.html) seems to me like it's simply an all-natural APC equal in strength to their original AllClean. InnerClean is specifically for interiors, and Nonsense is the dyeless, oderless version of All Clean +--it can be used pretty much anywhere exterior or interior. Review for Nonsense: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/61723-chemical-guys-nonsense.html

I forgot to mention that I do use their Mr. Pink for both my foam lance and bucket wash. It seems to work well for both, but again I don't have much to compare it to because I have only used OTC soaps from auto parts stores before.

Same here for me. I found Mr. Pink to be excellent using the 2BM (I don't own a Foam gun/lance).

Bottom Line: When it comes down to it, it's my opinion that CG is a very good company. Most AG'ers that dislike them are turned off by their marketing/web information. Their marketing is very "colorful" and sometimes misinforms. I've found that if you follow the directions on their actual product bottles, their stuff works as it says it will. Read the bottle labels accordingly and you will be fine, do not use their youtube videos or website as your official instruction for use.

Based off a lot of product research--not use, but reviews/comparisons by hobbyists & professional detailers, manufacturer websites, and various detailing forums)--it seems CG offers some of the best value-for-price products in the market. Mainly their shampoos, cleaners/degreasers, & QD's.

For those who find their email customer service lacking--call them. Greg even mentioned that calling was the best way to contact them on one of their youtube vids---due to the large number of emails they get. I called when I was confused on the difference between All Clean & AllClean + Citrus. They answered the phone immediately and gave me the same instruction the bottle label did--when the website said otherwise.

I like their towels. Some personal favs of mine they sell

CG Grey Matter Drying Towel
16x16 Orange Bangers
And all colored work horse towels.

I use mostly chemical guys stuff and I love their line. They have a couple of products I stay away from:

- Glass Cleaners (Streak)
- Tire Dressings (Don't Last/Sling)
- Final Polishes (Micromarring)

Other than those little things, I love their line of products. They also give pretty good customer service IMOE...

This was final polished with V-38 I don't see any micro marring. It did an excellent job and no dusting.

If you have never used CG products, I suggest you try several and decide for yourself but if you do not like one product do not write off the entire.

Nice pic, but a picture like that won't show any swirling or marring. I can take my dads old minivan and take a similar picture, even though his is swirled up. You need sun shots my friend. Although I still believe that ou have no marring going on :xyxthumbs:

Thanks for the vote of confidence :dblthumb2:

I love the v34, cuts very well, low dusting and wipes of sooooooo easy.
Can't wait to try out the Wolfgangs Swirl Remover which will be my next product to try.
I've only heard good things about it

I am a Chemical Guys guy. I started watching their videos and reading their product reviews online and decided to try them. So far so GREAT!!

Products I use and own:
V7 - Great Final detailing spray...nice pop
Blacklight - Great on dark cars, a great polisher/glaze. hides minor scuffs
Mr. Pink - Great smelling, super sudsy soap. I use the Canon Foam Gun. Oh and great smell
All Clean - great APC. Diluted at 20:1 for interior, 10:1 for wheels/wells, 15:1 w/ some Mr Pink for bug removal and it's great!!
Leather Cleaning & Conditioner (2 bottles) - are the best for leather cleaning. looks great and smells great.
New Car Shine - use it for tires and exterior trim. works great. use on the blue microfiber pads that you get at walmart and spread around.
Butterwet Wax - good product, use with a black hex pad (also CG) and spread with speed 3.
Wet Mirror/Glossworkz/Paint Restore - all seem the same to me. just depends on the clients color. baige I'll use the paint restore, greens use glossworkz, and wet mirror use the blues.
ECO Smart - Great stuff to use in your garage when it's raining outside or during the winter which is what I used. Smells great...don't drink it!!
Diablo Tire Gel - hit with some All Clean and then with Diablo and your wheels will look great again!!
Lightning Fast / Nonsense - Same results, just different scents. both 20:1
Fabric Clean - I'm running low, smells great, just enough suds.

I just ordered Mytee Lite and Mytee Firebird so the 3 I just listed above may go bye bye and just All Clean for upholstery cleaning. I'm cheap so it saves me a few bucks, like 20-30!!

I know I have others as well in my garage. I just ordered the VLine, can't wait to try them out in 16 oz bottles. I have the sample kit 4oz that I use on headlights and they work great. Hoping for same results on rest of paint.

And best for last...

My most favorite Chemical Guys product is.....
SILK SHINE!! Guys, if you want that new look again on all of your interior, not a shiny greasy look but just great looking interior. Silk Shine will be for you. It smells great, doesn't have that sticky residue as others. When you clean your interior again in a few weeks you won't have that white residue as others do (coughcoughARMOURALLcoughcough). All of the vinyl, all of the plastics, your seat buckles, rear view plastic, sun visor plastics, everything but upholstery will look great. Guys I have invested a lot of money on these products and my customers are happier then ever. I work from home and there are several detailing shops around my town. They however use Walmart products and charge up the wazooo. My customers said with my prices and my results, they will keep coming back. I do have a couple of videos on yourtube.

Search: Chemical Guys All Clean. My name there is: 24anvrodri

Oh I do have Metal Shine as well. I tried it on my stainless steel bread holder (used on video) and it brought back a great shine. Haven't used on a customer cause just using the other products makes it shine new again. Plus I charge for Metal Shine!!

Please view my FB page as well....

now that I'm reading my list, I also have...

Glassworks - Great for tinted windows.
M-Seal - Sealant that I use on headlights and windows. repels dust and water. way better than RainX. plus seals paint.
Luber - Use for claying and as a detailer before using V7
Pad Cleaner - with a 20:1 or 10:1 I don't remember, this cleans your pads real good. Brush that I use (cause I'm a cheap guy!!) and because I'm a daddy, is an infant brush. My local grocery (HEB) store has this brush for 99 cents. Almost like a giant tooth brush but it's angles and about 8 inches long.

If I come up with my other stuff (cause I'm at work) I'll post more later. But if you have questions just please feel free to ask.

If you want me to make a video with a product I have mentioned above, please ask and I'll make one for you to see.

Anyone use their metal wax and polish?

I have their, Metal Shine. Works great.

seach on youtube.... Chemical Guys Metal Shine...should be under name 24anvrodri (my username)

I also have Wheel Guard but haven't had the chance to use it. I may next week after my clients vehicles.

Curious now about the M-Seal.
If you can make a video of you using it.
I have a few vids myself, one is a about the EZ Glaze.

Always cool to watch a forum member at their best:dblthumb2:

I've actually had good luck with their stuff, but then I'm pretty careful to research before ordering. I don't have any illusions that they have armies of guys in lab coats formulating "nano" this and "nano" that. Yeah, their snake-oil advertising bothers some people, but I get a kick out of it. I particularly like Jetseal 109, because they managed to combine "nano technology" with 1950's style "space-age" hype in the same product. I also liked the product, but I moved away from it because of its excessive price.

I've had good luck with their "black on black" plastic trim stuff, which I bought on impulse, but I expect that should be a fairly easy product to make. Their Triple X Hardcore wax was OK.

Doesn't pay to be brand loyal when it comes to this stuff. that's for sure.

All Clean - great APC. Diluted at 20:1 for interior, 10:1 for wheels/wells, 15:1 w/ some Mr Pink for bug removal and it's great!!

This has sparked my curiosity...tell me more about this combination. Does it wear down LSP's? How much do you add to the bucket?

If you're talking about the bug ratio, no not really. I have included a link to my YT video. I chose 15:1 as I thought 20 was to weak, maybe if you had light bugs. 10 will be to strong. At 15 and with some car soap, Mr Pink, it makes a perfect combination.

I use a blue soft no plush microfiber that is used on glasses. I'll spray, agitate, and rinse off. I buy spray bottles from.....Sallys Beauty Supply!!! Their bottles are 16 oz so it's perfect, 15:1.

Please ask away. I have done many cars and its perfect for windows as well.

Windows,if it's better than Rainx then I'm all for it, not to mention protecting the paint.

Let me know when you get around to it:dblthumb2:
