Chinese Acquire Flex Tools

Guys I was making a joke, a bad one, but a couple caught it. But seriously I would never own a foreign car. I'm a mopar guy

Isn't Mopar/Dodge owned by Daimler-Chrysler, a German company that owns Mercedes-Benz?

They are owned by Fiat now. An Italian company which basically saved them from going under after Daimler didn't care about the quality they were putting out and just shipping crap out. We bought our Nitro in 07 and had numerous issues in the first year, little things, a recall or two, etc. In 13 We bought a new Dart and almost a year later no issues just 1 flash we needed to get done.

Look at the upside. German manufacturing and Chinese ownership could lead to a decrease in prices. I'm sure no one has a problem with that...

How is it going to be cheaper, if the manufacturing parts and labor stays in Germany?

Pricing strategies are usually formulated at the head office (which is now likely Beijing). The Chinese have a completely different business model compared to most Western countries, Germany included. If they go for high volumes and low markup we would definitely all be winners provided the quality does not take a hit

Forgot FIAT took ownership. I'd rather buy an Italian car designed to be economical than German leftovers and over engineering. Not trying to seem judgemental. Just showing that it's tough to buy wholly, U.S. made products. All we can do is stay educated, share information with one another and reduce our need for commercial products, especially foreign ones.

I don't think you will see the price of the Flex polishers drop a single nickel, as they still will be made in Germany where manufacturing cost is high. I think it would be pretty hard to sell "Das Original" Made in China.

Likely they will make the Flex vacuum cleaners and all the other power tools they make for the EU market in China. They may even slap the name "Flex" on a Rupes knock off. The only one who knows for sure is Peter Pan, the CEO of Chevron.

That's the same did IBM today Lenovo with the division of PC's. We must hope FLEX will keep its philosophy and quality. Long life for FLEX

"That is so upsetting to see"!! Jackie Chan was overheard to say.

"Pour me another bowl...Please"!: I caught myself exclaiming.

That's how I look at it. There are a lot of folks feeding their families by building Outbacks in Indiana and X3s in Spartanburg, SC (MTB ###).

Can someone tell me why "MTB ###" (Marshall Tucker Band For The Win) was eventually censored this way?
Are those three letters no longer allowed?

The abbreviation letters: F...T...W has many meanings.
(Xxxx)....The...World may be the one throwing it in the dumpster.
