So a long time member of a local racing group I'm a part of found a super deal on a 2011 VW Touareg TDI including over 47k in additional warranty left on this beast. Keep in mind she clocks-in here with over 140 on the odometer too.

Loaded with all the goodies from the Executive package including 20" wheels this beast not only can pull but she looks great. Timeless design really. Inside the seats look like they have maybe 15k miles on them it's that nice.

Outside however, Chad was really in need of getting her some love and thanks to many of you on the CR FB Group he put his trust in me to bring her back and shave off a few years of scrapes, fading, swirl city and then some.

Being this is his daily driver and budget is always a factor, we selected my Premium Enhancement Polish Package combined with a dual layer ceramic coating. He also added in a trim restoration and coating to bring the before very faded plastics on the outside back. One last thing were the roof rails that are anodized aluminum and on many German Brands they were badly stained. Patrick had this on his TDI Wagon and just like there, I knew I could fix them up like new.

Pics tell a thousand words, so onto them vs more text.

As you can see the starting point overall was rough and amplified by it being a pure black color.

The doors were really bad

The Hood wasn't much better

With a little love (lots of sweat) and some help from my new Flex XCE Polisher and some great CarPro Products, she's like new again.

Trim coatings are by far one of the best options to pick

My process here involved the New Flex XCE 10-8 125 Polisher teamed up with both CarPro Clear Cut and Essence using Lake Country Orange 5.5" pads. Topped with CarPro Cquartz UK 3.0 and Trim completed with both Solution Finish for the hood cowling and GYEON Q2 Trim for the rest.

Beautiful work in a beautiful SUV. I’m searching for a 2014-16 charcoal grey VW Touareg TDI currently.

Everything looks great except for the OSU flag. :)

The black looks exactly how black paint should look on a vehicle. It looks better than new.

He found this one after a long long search. It was originally a buy-back VW TDI so even though it has 140k miles on it right now, he still has 47k miles left on the additional warranty VW Put forth towards it. In fact he just had a bit of warranty work done and the are even sending him a new TPMS for the one wheel that is on/off not working. I should have take some pics inside as it's probably in the best shape of any car this old with that many miles on it that I've seen.

Good luck with your hunt! I may have to look into the TDI buy-back units myself!

Excellent turn around! Before/afters are excellent! Owner must've thought you swapped out vehicles!

Impressive results. You are a master with the Flex!

Did you use the orange pad for both cutting and polishing? Were they the LC flats, or another type?

Thanks Scott. He was more than pleased and I'm very glad as he's a good guy who spent a lot of time looking for a specific set of options on his SUV.

Thank you sir. Yes, orange pads for both as German Paint is rather strong and hard. Lake Country Flat pads, yes. I really only two-stepped a couple panels, one door the hood and part of the tail gate. The rest was done with Essence Polish in prep for the coating.
