Just checking out different sites when i came across claybar cleaner ? I would like to know what you think of this. To me i would think the contaminates would stay inside the clay and the only thing that would come clean is the dirt that you see on the surface of the clay.your thoughts?

Your right. Although people may want this for "production cars," it would not be a safe idea for your own or vehicles that mean a lot since there WILL BE contaminants stuck into the pores of the clay. Like I said, for production cars... it is not entirely a bad idea.

I thought so i didn't think that would be a good idea.I certainly wouldn't use it on my car and i wouldn't feel good about using it on any of my customers cars either.

I know what claybar cleaner you're talking about. I bought it and like it very much!

I tend to purposely by the smaller individual bars or cut the bigger bars into small pieces. I use it, and once it hits floor or gets dirty I toss without fear that another new piece is awaiting. The cleaner sounds interesting but is it cost effective versus replacing smaller pieces ??

I just use mine till it gets contaminated, then chunk it.. grab another one..

I retire my small pieces of clay to the glass and then the trash.
