CMA Closing

I bet several people here would feel really shitty if they found out a PAC family member died or something tragic happened and that's why they have to close up shop.

Point being, don't judge when you don't know all the facts.

Of course, but I don't think that's the reason.

IF that were the case they should have made it clear when they announced the sale. There has been ZERO communiation from any current PAC employee to try and calm people down. It is quite obvious that they just don't care....

Which is fine by me, but whenever Jack surfaces with a new store, he won't be getting any of my money, thats for sure.

Most likely just a bunch of overworked people with a lot on their plates.

Yeah but that's not our problem, maybe Jack shouldn't have fired everyone before having this sale...

I know enough to know that's not the case here.

Isn't that the normal dealer practice? My friend had some evaluation done at the dealer and they charged one hour of labor for $100...and then they charged $5 on top of that for waste disposal...exactly what waste did they generate hooking up the wires to the car? At least they took that charge off when she complained.

I don't care why they have closed up shop. But here is the issue at hand that I am seeing now in the group and thread.

People chose to get things from a "liquidation" and are not happy in the way things with that company is handling things. Even though things are kinda wonkey do we need to air this on our forum that we have great customer service through? Do we need to drag any one persons name through the mud? No... I am sure that PBMA has lost some revenue over this and by choosing to post this on their forum they knew it would probably net them some losses but they also probably knew that it would build some stronger bonds between them and their customers.

And speculation on anybody's part is not a good practice as it can and usually will lead to rumors, slander, and libel...

I feel that the bantering has gone on way too long and that it needs to stop if you are having issues with the company take it up with them don't gripe on here about it. It would be like if you had a customer that was not satisfied with the work you did and just jumped online and started posting crap remarks about you...

In conclusion I did not choose to participate in the liquidation partially because I prefer to get my supplies from PBMA or local, and secondly I looked over these threads and thought if a few people are having issues the chances of me having issues would be greater and I don't want to be pissed off when things go wrong then spew my frustrations on others... A simple post of "Hey I am having issues with CMA on _____________, just be forewarned" would be good and that is how the thread was then the real side of frustration popped up...

Just my .02

Thats all well and good to be up on your high horse, but we can't get in touch with the people at PAC, thats the problem. If they would respond then we wouldn't have to "gripe" about it on their forum and this forum.

Michael has been responding to my e-amils about the double charge, usually within a day.

I am not "up on any high horse" and I find your comment as an insult!

THIS FORUM AS YOU SO PROUDLY SAID IN ANOTHER THREAD TO A NOOB IS FOR AUTOGEEK ONLINE AND THEIR PRODUCTS! OR DO YOU NOT REMEMBER THIS?:

From the updated rules
Quote:
Since AutogeekOnline is exclusively sponsored by Autogeek.net, product discussion should be limited to products that are available from Autogeek.net and PBMA's family of websites

You can take my comment however you like, maybe I took your comment as an insult

LMFAO, I love how the quote you posted doesn't relate to this topic at all. This isn't a thread about other products. It is a thread started by a AG EMPLOYEE, about another company going out of business. Why would they care if we complain about another company? It does nothing but make AG look better.

I think this thread has reached the end of its useful life.

:lock:

After observing and digesting all the news and activities in the last week, the closing of CMA is bittersweet. One always hates to see a friendly competitor close their doors for whatever reason.

Knowing Terry and Jan Freidberg personally (the original owners of CMA), and the selection of Jack Kruer to continue their vision of CMA in the car care business was an excellent choice. Jack continued the vision of Terry and Jan that started over 23 years ago and in my eyes one of the hardest working people in the industry. Jack had also assembled a staff that reflects that work ethic by doing everything possible to please the customer.

It does seem that there is a perfect storm in reverse and it is indeed a very challenging endeavor to try and please everybody. After having the pleasure of talking with Jack (a friend of mine) and Todd Helmes (former employee of PAC), I can assure all of you that CMA is doing everything possible to satisfy every customer in a timely manner under the current circumstances. CMA has been a class act since day one and nothing should change.

In all fairness to everyone that helped with CMA’s liquidation, I would suggest that all of you be as PATIENT as possible and feel confident that CMA will do the right thing under these circumstances.

I’m not a frequent poster on the forum but I wanted to share my thoughts regarding the closing of CMA. I have no further input on the subject and would like to wish everyone a happy 4th of July.

How would my comment be an insult? I was asking that the negativity be removed from this forum and placed with the correct one...

The post does relate as this thread may have been started by an AGO Employee it was a simple informative thread that pointed out that they will not be matching their prices... Honestly they know that it will make them look better without the making the forum members look like complete jerks... I know that AGO expects their members to hold to the ethics and morals that show them (PBMA/AGO) as a good company not as an evil mega mart that cares only about their bottom line... And Dave why is it that you are the one that took my posting as an insult? I was pointing nobody out!

As for the unsubscribe I tried and it won't work for me...

Well, tried to support them a bit through this tough time. ordered some of the Blackfire products along with some extras from EF. Its sad to see them close. They were one of the places I looked to for some great products.

Best of luck to all of them in the future.

I'm not saying someone passed, that's not the point. The point is, I see several people here complaining when they don't know what happened. I see all these questions about the "new site they just put up" and why would they do this, which further proves to me that people don't really know why they closed.

The main point I'm trying to get across is don't judge until you know the full story. That doesn't necessarily mean someone died, it just means to withhold judgement.

Last time I checked, PAC was a great company and just because they are going out of business should change that. Here people are getting a fourth off their purchases yet they continue to complain and whine. If you just take a little time and understand that PAC is working extremely hard fulfilling the orders maybe some of you will stop whining.

Let's just keep in mind that these are just detailing products. I am amazed by the sheer complaints in this thread and in others. These people are going out of business some may or may not have jobs which mean no food for their family, yet you want your detailing products and you want them now?! Let's have a little more sympathy shall we?

The complaining is about PAC CHARGING more on people cards WITHOUT permission and the fact that NO ONE at PAC will answer a phone, return voice mails or reply to emails. People have a right to be upset. I have no idea what is going on with the order I placed and no way of finding out so yes I have a right to "whine" about it.

The L2D Troll Patrol is out in full force

I see many of you posting on every forum, saying the same old tired crap in a desperate attempt to build you pitiful forum

There are a few members who post there, that IMO were duped into joining. I'm not going to name names because I'm not trying to embarass you, but let me give you some solid advice...beat it up out of there before your name becomes as dirty as their's already is. 295 members in 14 months should tell you, this is not the place to be

Regards,

Not as stupid as you thought

No one has mentioned anything about L2D at all. Where did that come from?

Flash, you just made this thread interesting. I kept waiting for it to disappear, but now I'm interested to see what is posted from this point forward :)
