Coated my tires today and WOW,

Maybe it soaked in the rubber more on the winter tires I have to clean mine up here oh hell it's 34 degrees might as well do it now

Here it is 2 months and 2 days later. It's snowing now, so we'll see how it holds up. I have a 70 mile drive home.

Do you guys think this would be able to be done with no hose? I doubt it, but I won't have time to do my tires until after final exams and by then it'll be too cold.

Use mother's back to black rinseless tire cleaner.

Glad you stuck with the TW tire coating Sy, I know you had some issues at first and in most cases it would've and could've been filed away as "silly Turtle Wax", your washed up but NO, you listened to us and now look at your tires, over 2 monthes and they still look good:props:

BTW, what's the longest time you've spent staring at the color of your car!

I still had 3/4+ of the bottle. Of course I would try it again. I'll check tomorrow in the day light how it held up to my 70 mile drive tonight where some road sections had so much salt it almost felt like driving on fine gravel.

I love the color though. It was absolutely filthy in those pictures, but step 3 feet away and it looks spotless.

EXACTLY!

Looking forward to hearing and seeing your results from the roadie:thumbup:

Use mother's back to black rinseless tire cleaner.

This is what I use as anytime I wash at home it's rinseless now a days. Even in summer. So if I need to clean or prep tires this is my go to. I bought a case but haven't even been through a bottle yet lol.

So I put 2 coats of the tire product on initially. It snowed the next day pretty much, and then heavy rains the next weekend. I followed up with an additional coat of the TRIM product which may be the same thing but I was being lazy and had it in my garage and the tire stuff was in the basement so I went for it. I washed the car yesterday at lunch (meaning I hosed it down and then ran it through the car wash *gasp*) it was 34 and the sun was out some so I figured why not. Tires look fine, I don't think they (michelin winter tires) shine as much as my OEM Bridgestone ecopias but then again my wife's OEM firestones don't either. It seems to be a little tire and compound dependent.

I will try to keep an eye on the trim stuff and see how it lasts obviously this is just opinion and I can always take random pics as time goes on.

I may have mentioned back in this thread that I also bit the bullet and bought some TW Endura Tire Coat.

So far, I'm basically happy with the product, and I think it's a very good buy for the price spent, and what it does.

After about a few weeks now, I did begin to note some degradation of looks to the front tires more so than the back.

On my beater 2001 Kia I have Discs Front/Drums Rear, and suspect that higher temps at the front because of the Brakes have caused this.

The other day, I did do a wipe down on the tires with a mild DG Shampoo Wash, dried, and then simply grabbed a bottle of Opti-Bond Gel diluted 1-1 and gave them a coat and they looked better.

With either process, I seen no dyes coming off the tires.

Dependent upon weather and goings on here today, I might give the Tahoe's 421Q Nitto Tires a cleaning and a coat with the TW Endura.

Yeah Mark after 3 weeks you'll notice it starting to go down in sheen but they will not turn brown at that point. Honestly, I don't know at what point they turn brown on my car because I don't let it get to that point but on my work van this summer I did a test and I got well over 2 monthes out of them and this was on a work van, one that's driven about 150-200 miles a day on all surfaces.

I will always use this product but will test others like DP.

Agree with what you've said, and I note similar findings. That the tires haven't browned, but just became a little bit duller looking on the front. The rears still looked almost as good as the day I coated them.

Agree too, I think I'll like keeping this product around.

There's the good chance I think, that other common OTC brands will also come with a similar product like this in the future.

And here it is this morning. No washing or anything. The last portion of my trip was just rain, so I guess all of the coatings on my car kind of cleaned themselves.

SY, the proof is right there:thumbup:

My new ride with only 17 miles on it :)

Washed and scrubbed the wheels 3 times before the suds were white.

Coated each tire 3 times…waiting 10 minutes between coatings.

I did my Tahoe's 22" 421Q Nitto Tires Thanksgiving Day, spent about 2 hours cleaning, then treating the tires, and applying Reload to the Wheel's Chrome Faces (Wheels Previously CQuartz UK'd)

A couple of the tires came out just a little bit uneven and blotchy, even though I cleaned the tires 3 times, once with the TW Cleaner, and twice with full strength Purple Power APC.

Reason why this probably happened is that the tires had been previously treated a few times with Carpro PERL, and the PERL is evidently a quite durable and hard to remove product.

Didn't have that issue with the Kia's Hankook Tires, but the Kia's Tires were never treated with PERL, only Opti-Bond Gel and Optimum Tire Shine.

They still look pretty decent though, just not perfect like I hoped.

Not really worried much about it at this point, I just wanted to concentrate on getting some decent protection on them for the next 2-3 month's time to tide me over through the winter here.
