Coated my tires today and WOW,

How'd you score all that?

I went around to almost every Advanced Auto Parts store and Walmart in 3 counties as I traveled around for work, and would buy them up. Some I had to negotiate a price, but nothing over $8 a kit.

That was a smart move with the T-12kt stuff.
Such a simple wasted concept.

I have almost 3 left and will need to look in a year or 2 for something that is half as good for 4 times the price.

Black Pearl is just as good, trust me and they have 4 different types of tire coatings, it's all they do!

TAC system also makes an outstanding tire coating, all other tire products will be rendered useless unless it's being used on a museum piece because the fact of the matter is this, NO SLING EVER with a tire coating!

I don't remember seeing Black Pear,I have been living under a rock.

Well it may be as good or better(?) but still 4x the cost.

A little goes a long way with these tire coatings and if you ride out their endurance or just "freshen up" once a month it's really not expensive in the long run.

No clue what the heck Black Pearl is... But anyways, that's the same thing we do with Endura, but according to spazzz that stuff's 4x the cost.

E2K turned me on to the Turtle Wax Tire Coating and it is mighty impressive. Have we determined if the Trim Coating by TW is the same?????

I've got tons of the Trim Coating and it can be used on tires as it pretty much looks the same... However the difference is it washes off of tires fairly easily. Kinda weird because it doesn't wash off of trim the same way.

But as long as you don't touch it, it works on tires.

Good to know and I asked because I have way more TRIM than TIRE coating as well. Thanks.

If it washes off of the tires easy it can't be the same thing because we all know how long TW tire coating DOES last on tires! You guys need to research Black Pearl since TW tire coating isn't made anymore. I plan on getting 2 different formulas come spring of 2018, as well as a new tire coating from a well known company we all know and love, beta tested it last winter/early spring of 2015/16 and it was supposed to be released by summer but it was pushed back to 2018, stay "tuned".

Check out TAC systems tire coating, it's the REAL deal!

Is that and Black Perl sold in the AG store?
No but it should, one of them at least! Enough grass roots movement and it could happen. The Black Pearl Co sells tire coating only and TAC systems has a complete line of high end products

Black Perl sounds nice and I have seen it before. The application seems odd with the paint roller. That is what turns me off about that tire coating. McKee's and Tuf Shine are just as good as TW, if not better.

TAC seems like a typical tire dressing with polymers in it and not so much a tire coating. I recall ronkh using it and it lasted a few weeks and not more than that. Looks like it could give Gyeon Tire Coat a run for it's money which has SiO2 in it and seems to last about 6-8 weeks. Which is what I get with CarPro Perl as well.

I don't use the paint roller with Black Pearl but I see they sell one on their site. Fly07STi gave me a sample of this product and I love it.

I have applied TAC tire coating to MadMercs tires and he would have to chime in about durability becaue I bet he leaves the product alone and let's it do it's thing. Me on the other hand, well, I like to freshen things up about every 3 weeks.

Sadly winter driving season is right around the corner and we'll see how these products do on the finicky winter tires.

In closing don't turn away from Black Pearl because of that little roller they sell, that seems more geared towards large sidewall tires or even semi tires, just use your normal applicator like I do, works just fine.

Wow this thread blew up
It has and there are sooooo many great products out there and you have to pick a product yourself and try it out, lots of opinions here that differ from experiences...big time! It really comes down to prep and what type of tires you have but even my Michelins have reacted great to everything I've endorsed here.
