collinite 845 haze

I experienced the same conditions the first time I applied it, and it turned out to be putting the product down too thick. I also think I may not have shaken it up enough and applied an improperly mixed combination. The thick areas were also hard to remove.

Since that first time, I've put it down much thinner using my DA and never had any removal or sweating issues. It's really an easy LSP to use.

I don't know if weather is a factor with the hazing problem. I've applied 845 in temps ranging from upper 50's F to low 90's F and humidity upwards of 70% with no issues at all in any of those applications.

Sounds to me like you applied it too thick, and did not allow it long enough to set up before removing.

I have this issue, I think I put to much on so I never removed all of it when wiping. I would use a detail spray to remove the haze, for sure it needs to applied thin. Temp and humidity could play a factor.

Agreed with the above. The only time I've seen this issue was when it was applied too thick. 845 has to be applied really thin...like, really thin. Because it's an "oily" wax, there is more product in the pad/applicator than you think. I find applying with a DA is easier and it applies thinner.

Thx FUNX725 for the in-depth detail about sweating. And thank you to everyone for the tips. I wiped down one side of the car with fk425 and the other with megs ultimate quick detail. Gonna see what it looks like in the morning. I also reached for my autofinesse illusions wax. I applied that to the front and back fender panels, and left the door untouched. Gonna see how that works out in the morning. I'll also try the cold water method on the hood tomorrow after work. I'll update tomorrow night. Thx and aloha.

So all the haze is finally gone. Both fk425 and AF illusions removed any kind of haze.

Glad to know :)
Now you can enjoy the performance of FK425 and AF illusion :D
