I've been mainly a lurker here as I'm not really into hardcore detailing like some of you but I recently had a very positive experience that I wanted to share.

I would consider myself a casual detailer mainly just interested in protecting my paint. My main arsenal consists of Collinite, Optimum, Ultima, Klasse, Meguiars products.

The cap of my Collinite had failed to tighten and it would just turn and turn. Well I learned to live with the loose cap until it fell over recently on my shelf and emptied itself out.

I ended up emailing Collinite to see if this was a common problem or not. It wasn't, but Mark gave me the benefit of the doubt and took care of me.

I was actually surprised not only at the response time but the willingness to take care of one customer. They sell tons of products and they could really get by with the product quality alone. Apparently this is one of those few companies this day and age that want to put out a great product but also to have excellent customer service and to build/maintain their reputation as well. Kudos to companies like that which can be hard to find these days.

Because of this experience, I no longer view them as just another wax company. They have me as a lifetime customer now.

Just thought I'd share experiences that go above and beyond expectations.

Very cool!! Thanks for sharing that.:xyxthumbs:

Cool to hear! Isn't terrible how much we appreciate it when a company does the right thing to help keep a customer coming back to them. I have had similar great experiences in the detailing industry, they are from competitors of AG so I won't name them. But it does feel good to be treated properly.

:welcome: To Autogeek Online! :props:

Sounds like another customer service group most of us are very familiar with.......Autogeek! :dblthumb2:

That is refreshing to hear a company that cares about its customers and not just the bottom line$$

I had a question regarding some of their industrial products and I emailed the company. I work at a power plant and one of our sister plants was looking to get rid of gallons of product, I want to say it was their 240. I was wondering if the product could be used for automotive purposes. Can't beat free stuff, right? Besides, I was hoping it could be similar enough to 845 to use on the vehicles!

They were very quick to respond, and it was at 10pm or something crazy, which I could not believe! I just thought they'd get back to me the next day.

Unfortunately, the 240 is not recommended for automotive use. I tried!

Needless to say, great customer service.

In my present arsenal, I have 845, 476, 850 Metal Wax, 920 Fiberglass Cleaner and 925 Fiberglass Wax.

I gotta make a run to the factory one of these days. They are only about 45 minutes away.

That's great to hear! Same thing happened to me this week with Duragloss. Great companies indeed. It also leaved one feeling confident in using their products.

Glad to hear this Alpine, its the reason why they've been around so long too! Someone on here said they've been using Collinite for over 30 yrs, proof right there! I have all of the Collinite "triplets" and love using them all!

Sent from my SPH-M930 using AG Online

Meguiars is top notch also. I dropped a bottle of Ultimate Wax that split open and they replaced it no question.

I actually had the same problem with my bottle of 845. The cap wouldnt screw anymore. I just transferred the product to another bottle I had, but nice to know they took care of the problem none the less.

That is so great to hear!
I wonder if I called and said my #915 all spilled they would hook me up :D (I am just about out and its time to reorder)

That's great to hear. I've had wonderful customer service from every single detailing companies I've ordered from including autogeek.

Coincidentally, a farily new bottle of mine (845) has a bad cap also. The cap won't tighten down, as if the threads do not catch. I was planning on just living with it. Appears to be a faulty lot of bottles/caps.

Did Collinite send you a new cap or a whole new bottle of 845?

Perhaps I will give them a call also.

Collinite is amazing. I want one of their TShirts!

Collinite has the flip top cap option now to eliminate any issue with caps not tightening but I'm not sure if all the new bottles come with it or not since I haven't bought any lately.
