I've been struggling with coming up with a name for my future detailing business. It will be both mobile and fixed.
It was originally "Niko's Automotive Detailing". I read Mike's post about having your name in the title of your business is a good thing. So, I figured that would work.
However, some people mentioned about the thought: what if I wanted to sell it 20 years down the road or make it into a franchise?...The name wouldn't work.
Then came the brainstorming for company names without my name in the title. Basically everything I thought of was already taken by multiple companies.
However, I thought of one that was only taken by a few companies that weren't very big. That is "Impeccable Finish."
Goods news is, www.ImpeccableFinish.com is available to be purchased.
But I really want my name to be involved due to reading Mike's article and thought "Molina Auto Detailing" could work. It's not possessive (its not Molina's, it's Molina) so it could be sellable. Its just a last name, right? Also, www.MolinaAutoDetailing.com is available.
DING DIN DING!!
Impeccable Finish
-www.ImpeccableFinish.com
-Sellable Name
-Some potential clients will go to a business with a name like that (i.e. doesn't have the owner's name in it)
vs
Molina Auto Detailing
-www.MolinaAutoDetailing.com
-possible sellable name
-Some potential clients prefer a business with a name like this because of the "connection" they feel with the owner by knowing his name just from the title
I have attached two logos to my post. One is for Impeccable Finish and one for Molina Auto Detailing. They were made in MS paint and are the basic drafts.
