Thanks for the replies. The video shows how to use it after the car has been dried. So that didn't help.
So for drying agent just wash, rinse then spray D156. Water on car will dilute it and then I just wipe dry as normal? The d156 somehow aids in drying the car faster and leaves a protective layer?
Hi dbizzle22,
Check out vid below. At 7:25, imagine D156 instead of product at hand with a damp microfiber. I've been doing this for a while now with excellent result.
Drying Aid
If you haven't tried this please do it at least once. Just use your favorite spray wax. No need arguing over what that is. It works and when you try it you'll see why people do it. If you want to drive around the block once before doing it fine but there's no need if you have a couple of towels. I like to use a 16 X 16 microfiber that I squeeze the water out of and a guzzler to go back over it. You can use the spray wax on the car or on the 16 X 16 MF. It gets those spots you may have missed as well. Don't forget to report back your experience.
Ah there we go! Thanks for the video. Great help here everyone!
One last question before I order my d156. Do I avoid the windows and glass with this process? I don't want to cause any chattering etc with my wipers
Two things that I'll ALWAYS have to use as both spray waxes, and as drying aides. Megs 156 and Duragloss Aqua Wax 951 (well in the gallon it's 952). :dblthumb2:
Both work great. But I honestly think DG951 is slicker. (And doesn't hurt that it smells like a Pina-Colada.)
FWIW I've added Polycharger to both of them, and MAN does that ramp up the durability, (and slickness as well, just not as much as the durability). Neither of them *need* it, I just played around with it and found out it does indeed work. (Keep my "special mix" for our personal vehicles, or as an 'upgrade' for those that we know to tip well.)![]()
Hi, so I know you can use it as a drying agent but can't seem to find any links, videos or threads about how to use it as a drying agent.
Do I need to mix it with water in a spray bottle?
Wash car, rinse car, spray the above D156 mix and dry as normal?
And since you brought it up I'll agree that AW does feel slicker to me also.....don't get me wrong here 156 is an awsome product that I also use often I just really like AW more.
You really can't go wrong with either.
Birds of a feather and all that jazz.
Tim have you ever Polycharged either of these? I'm thinking of a way to try and get you a few droppers of it. It literally takes 2 half droppers to a couple ounces of product.
Maybe a syringe? :dunno: I'm curious to see if ONE; you can tell the difference between 'charged' and 'virgin' product(s) and TWO; if you LIKE the difference! Hmmmm.... may just be placebo effect.
