Damn DLux is good!!!

Any idea on how to REMOVE it? Applied over a year ago

IME - that's the problem with this product and why I no longer use it. This is my experience with DLux on plastic trim on a daily driver parked outside:

Product initially looks / works great. Product lasts a long time. After a LONG time (1 year +). DLux starts to "oxidize" ( don't know if that's what's going on chemically, but it looks like oxidation to me). You try to remove it, and it's literally impossible to remove it 100%. It's about as easy to remove as dried up Krazy Glue on plastic. So, the solution seems to be to clean and apply more DLux. IPA will not touch DLux once it's cured. Neither will any detailing product designed to clean plastic, APC, or even solvent based stuff like Prep All IME.

However, now the DLux last significantly less time - maybe 3 months and you are back where you started... I would only recommend using this product as a last ditch effort on already damaged trim. On healthy trim - use a trim sealant.

I applied DLux for the first time on my GTI last year and didn't have any issues like described. It still looked so good I bought another bottle, went over those old pieces and put more on new pieces I didn't do last year.

Then I did this BMW this year. So we shall see. I hate going over trim after every other wash and would much prefer a coating for these pieces. But time will tell in my case.

Guys, quick question- I got my package of dlux today, and want to use on dads ml, and the plastic parts are in average condition with some oxidation and recoloring. Should I hit the plastics with some mckeys plastic restorer and then apply the dlux? Or just apply dlux and be done :)

You can clean with APC, or a no rinse wash (w/out LSP) then apply.
