. Jeeps been at the dealer for an hour, all they came up with is they suspect the vacuum line under the battery is torn. Thats what's wrong with the cruise. Battery is bad according to them yet I tested it at my friends autozone 6 times and it passed. Idk. I'm pissed. $210 of work so far and that's all. Ugh. My normal shops are 4.5hrs away
Whenever you got to a dealer you have to expect to be hosed. That being said, you should also expect a diagnosis and what it cost to fix it. If your dealer is playing parts hanger they shouldn't expect you to pay for it. Tell them to call you when they know what is wrong with it. Ask them if the shop foreman can diagnose it.
I got hosed about a year ago paying 4k for cats for my 12 yo car. But the diagnosis was right, the work was done right, and the car is still fixed. I could have got it done for $900 at the local grease pit, but decided paying for quality work was a wise investment.
