Dedicatedperfection: 2005 Dodge Ram
This customer came to me in a panic attack after he washed his freshly painted truck and left nasty swirls all throughout the paintwork. This was its first wash in 4 weeks. Owner wanted to spruce it up and give it a coat of wax. As we all know fresh paint is usually on the softer side and will marr easily. Low and behold his old “Shammy’s” and other towels marred the paint pretty good.
After I completed the truck he asked what was the best way maintain his truck. First thing I said was do your self a favor and throw away whatever you have and buy all new products. I pointed him hear to purchase rather than buying whatever of the shelf here.
He did some damage to the side of the vehicle and rather than having just the passenger side painted he opted to have the entire truck painted.
Total time spent: 6 hours
Wheels and wells:
Wheels and tires hit with Meguiar’s D143 and various brushes
Wells and tires hit with Meguiar’s D101 and various brushes
Wash:
Foamed with Foam Cannon & Hyperwash
2BM with Meguiar’s Hyper Wash and Meguiar’s Wash media
Decontamination:
Clayed with Nano skin fine 6” pad on 3401 with D155
Smaller areas hit with Nano skin fine sponge
Correction:
GG3 Hydrotech pads and 3401 Hybrids
AIO work with BLACKFIRE Total Polish and Seal
Added pop provided by BlackFire Midnight Sun Carnauba spray wax
Miscellaneous:
Trim cleaned and protected with BlackFire Trim & Tire AIO
Windows Stoner Glass Cleaner
Shot with Nikon D3200 and hooded 35mm prime lens
Didn't get any before pictures or many during pictures. Was raining that morning when I got started.
Here are a few "foamed" shots
A few pictures of what the paint looked like after his detail. Most of the truck looked like this
A few 50/50's...
Completed work
And outside
Hope you enjoyed.
