Hello everyone, I have this dent/crease on the edge of my fender. Here's where it gets interesting, this fender has had bodywork done to it before, and the paint isn't cracked or anything, so I think I can push the dent back out without cracking paint if I use heat. Once it's out, I plan to compound or maybe even wetsand the haze from it being repainted by the body shop.
How should I attack this? I was planning on using a hair dryer/ heat gun (never used one before) and jacking up the car and removing the wheel and fender liner and trying to push out the dent.
If that doesn't work, I was going to try to tap it from the inside with a rubber mallet, or try that method where you heat it up and then turn upside down and spray compressed air onto it, the freezing liquid is supposed to pop it out. Or....I could try to use suction and a toilet plunger.
Thanks in advance!
