This client started out as a regular wash and wax every so often. After the first and second time I cleaned it up, I expressed to the client how much his car could benefit from having the exterior reconditioned. He uses this car often and races it...HARD. The car makes over 1500rwhp and he gets invited to a ton of private air strip racing events all around. The car previously had a vinyl wrap on it and it's been about a year since then so the car was definitely showing signs of its age and having the wrap removed. After those few talks, I came out to wash it again and he asked when I could fit him into my schedule. So, we talked and came to terms for a full correction, touching up some spots with the Dr. Color chip and Opti-coat. :xyxthumbs:

Exterior:

  • Chemical Guys Citrus Wash (twice) Once after polishing
  • Speedy Prep towel
  • Wheels/barrels were hit with CG Diablo wheel gel & various brushes
  • Wheel wells and rubber were hit with APC 5:1 & various brushes
  • Tires dressed with Show Room FX White Pearl
  • Rubber seals on doors/headlights/tailights treated with M40
  • Wells treated with CG Bare Bones
  • M101 Meguiars MF Cutting Disc
  • D300 Meguiars MF Cutting Disc
  • M205 LC Black Foam
  • Optimum Opti-Coat
Interior:

  • Vacuumed
  • Dry brushed
  • Vacuumed once more
  • Interior panels cleaned with APC 10:1
  • Interior panels gone over once more with Meguiars QID
  • Glass treated with Meguiars Perfect Clarity and Buff & Shines glass towels
On to the pictures.

The entire car looked like this with TONS of deep RIDS:

After compounding and polishing for around 17ish hours, she was on her way for her second bath to strip all polishing oils and free her of the dust that is M101:

The top was polished while on the car, but it was taken off to clean under and dress everything appropriately. Being ever so careful to not abuse this beautiful piece:

About this time, she was ready to be pulled out into the sun after the Opti-Coat had set and cured over night:

And here she is... after 22 total hours. I hope you're wearing sunglass for the gloss and glare you're about to see.

Hope you all enjoyed it, I did.

As always...thanks for checking it out and comments/questions welcome!

Sorry for the double post... only allowed 30 images and I had about 100 so not everyone made the cut...just so you get the idea.

Sadly I only have a before shot of the motor :(

I think we could make an exception for this motor, even if its dirty.;)

Your wish is my command. I'm going to go back over the digital camera and my phone to see if I missed it and I did take one. I was going through them this morning and felt so sad because of that. I knew my fellow brethern would eat me up about it.

WOW, simply amazing, wow!

No fake or photochop pictures but I can understand why he thought that.

that's pretty sick, nice job. i like her shoes...

Looks great!

I've found the Viper's I've buffed out with factory paint for the paint to be on the hard side...

:dblthumb2:

I was wondering why he needed to have 2 compounding stages; one with M101 and a micro-fiber pad, and a 2nd compound stage with D300 and a micro-fiber pad.

Looks great!:dblthumb2:

That thing is awesome. Looks great

Thanks bud!

Thanks, Cartman! I agree why he thought that. It looks like I went in an added all those sun glares. lol I can assure you, no tricks here.

Looks great!

Thanks, Mike. This one was no exception. I started with D300 just to see where it would stand with that first. It did okay, but there were a bunch of deep rids and random swirling. M105 did a better job but still wasn't where I wanted it to be with out having to make 8-10 passes per panel. M101 is what every inch received and boy was it needed. I could have gone straight to M205 but being black...I and the client wanted the gloss to pop so we opted for three steps. This thing in person was just insane.

After this one was completed he had two of his buddies with the same model wanting the same treatment. :buffing:

Thanks, BigAl! I love her shoes too, not the easiest to clean but sweet!

What a car with a perfect finish!

Yeah like I was explaining to Mike...the finish was good going straight to 205 after 101 but I and the client wanted more. And that's what he got.

Thanks again everyone for the kind words. This is my satisfaction. Im the MAN:buffing::dblthumb2:
