Detail Fest 5 pics

Man I'm glad you posted these! :xyxthumbs:

I'm sure I'm not the only Autogeek member that could not attend because of living so far away. I would love to attend one of these events but none even come close to where I live in New England.

Here are my pictures. Didnt take to many I was to busy talking to everyone and enjoying the show.

Page2 number 11 is me accepting trophy for 2nd place for best paint and detail.

I thought I recognized your Vette with the snazzy rims on the first page, I would love to see more pictures of it! Congratulations by the way.

Adam's car should have won first since there were no holograms or marring in the paint like the truck that won. Also Corey's(CEE DOG) Sky had a lot better paint than the trucks.

Thanks for sharing all those pictures. Looks like a great time was had.

Amazing event indeed. I missed last year's event, but made the first 3. Back in 2005, there were about a dozen or so of us, Max ordered pizza and in his typical spirit of generousity, he wheeled out a cart a few times piled with products to try and told us to help ourselves. Fast forward to this year, the event has seriously grown as has his operation.

This year, I did the morning class with Mike Phillips, there were give-aways by Lake County, 3M, Meguair's Optimum Lexol in addition to the goodie bags. They included Diamondite screen cleaning kit, microfibers, etc, and for signing up for the car show there were bottles of Wolfgang Paint Sealant 3.0, Paintwork Enhancing Polish, and Auto Bathe along with applicators and more microfiber towels.

Kevin with Ding, Inc worked absolute magic on door and fender dings, the guys over at Griot's Garage did wet sanded out defects and polished varous vehicles, Richard from Black Wow put out a "we'll be right back sign" so he could demonstrate his product on my car in the parking lot, Meguiar's had a hood panel for hands on demos, way too many things to list.

There were a bunch of items raffled off. I filled out an entry form and tossed it in the bag at the Griot's while talking with those guys and about peed myself when they pulled my name out of the hat. Their grand prize included a Griots random orbit machine (w/ 25' cord!), Machine Polish 2 &3, Best in Show Wax, Speed Shine, Spray on Wax, Interior Cleaner, window Cleaner, a clay bar, 2 orange polishing and 1 red wax pad for the machine, 3 wax removal MF, 3 polish removal MF, 3 speed shine MF (and a couple extra MF towels to boot) all in a heavy duty Griot's canvas work bag.

Thanks to Max, everyone at Auto Geek, all the vendors, especially Griot's Garage. Looking forward to next year!

Congratulations on winning the grand prize drawing. I guess I would have been disappointed at not winning except for Max's announcement right afterwards. Talk about the place turning in a madhouse! Did anybody else feel like they made out like a bandit?:wow::awesome:

What was Max's announcement at the end?

He thanked everybody for attending, then told everybody that all the vendors have agreed to give away all of the stuff they had on display (Although, I think he said "excluding buffers/polishers"). It basically turned into a free-for-all mad dash. I wouldn't have gotten much, except my cousin was with me and since he knew nothing about detailing, he just started grabbing everything in sight! It was actually pretty crazy at the end!

That was great! Congratulations Adam! Sorry I can't post the pic I have of you 2 and the trophy... I promised

Thank you Dana! I appreciate it! I'll post some pictures in a bit.
