Detailed: 2009 Saturn Sky

[ICEMAN]

The owner of the Vrod had me do his wifes Sky the next day.

I had to (unfiortunately) use the same damn turtle wax soap to wash with. its not nearly as bad as i expected though.

Buffed with XMT 360 and orange pad with my 7424XP.

Convertible top cleaned with Amazing Roll Off at 20:1 then sealed

Engine cleaned with Amazing Roll Off at 10:1 then Stoners More Shine to dress it up

wheels and wheel wells also cleaned with ARO at 10:1 since they werent bad.

wheel protectant used and Stoners More Shine on the wheel wells.

Before...

then i stopped for some breakfast.... cinnamin rolls!!

paint is not in bad shape at all.

convertible top just needed a clean.

hmmmm??? haha

wheels werent bad at all

engine was more dusty then dirty

then i pulled out the EZup to get started in the shade

Did you use anything specific to get this off the paint? My car has a bunch of these on it and I've tried rubbing compound but they just come back in a couple of days. It's real weird.

im not sure what that was, but it mostly came off after a wash, then it came off easily after the first pass with the buffer. yours must be something different. post up some pics.

Here you go, after compounding. The thing underneath the suns reflection. I am getting a PC soon and will be using Megs 105 and 205 to polish her up so hopefully they will get rid of the spots.

105 should hopefully get it! otherwise start with some 3000 grit. then go down to 2200 or 2000 grit and wetsand it away. or get with someone who can wetsand if you have not.

I think the Sonax paint cleaner I was using yesterday would take that right off by hand. Can't be sure but it removed some stubborn stains very easily for me.

thx. yah when i first seen the car, it was very dirty, but it was in th sun and even thru the dirt, the metallic popped. i really like burgandy. cant wait to clay and buff my truck!!

i love how they have a waterfall, just like the vette's!!! thats the coolest thing about a vette to me!!!!!!
