Up today on the detail block, we have a 2002 Chevy Duramax Diesel (4 door) Very rough shape. One of the car wholesalers that I know, referred one of his relatives to me. Older gentleman.
Said he never really took care of the vehicle and used it to haul stuff around.
He was out of town, and wanted it cleaned up before he gets back later this week, so he can trade it off for a new truck. No Problem...... buwahahahahaha:righton:

I pulled up this morning and seen it. Knew it was going to be a long day. I usually do not work weekends, but hey.....money is money....and I love to detail....so....I dove in.

I only finished the interior today. Took 6-6.5 hours. 2.5 hours was just to Vac the interior. I figured I can do the inside, take off, and return tomorrow to do the outside. Get a fresh start if you will. Since the outside will take all day anyways....lol

Pics.......

Gheez Tex what did you do put out an add for the dirtiest car in town.
Lord have mercy man!!!
Well I cant with for the after pics I"m sure those will be amazing!!

So, where are the pictures of the troll that live in that thing? Sheesh!

There is still a little dirt and dust in some of the cracks and crevices, as you can see in the pics. I will finish them in the morning. I just did the carpet, and it was wet. Did not want to screw it up.

On my way home, I gat a call from a lady driving behind me. LOL ( I have a sign on the back of my trailer) Wanted to konw if I could wash her car at the parl really quick. Her son had a Baseball game, and she wanted it done. LOL Why not. Said she will get me a ton of business at offices in the next town over.....We'll see..... Said I did better than the place she usually takes it to. I over heard her on the phone talking about it. She said that i did a better job than XXXXXX did. AND I come to her....LOL

Now that's what I'm talking about ! Looks better than new............
Great job Tex!!!

OH and tell the troll to keep it half way clean this time ..........LOL
Hahahahaha:cheers:

Edit.... I had to use and OTC interior dressing. I ran out of my "go to" stuff. Won't be able to pick it up from my distributor until Monday.......

incase you are wondering, I used Black Magic dressing in this truck. I was not really pleased with it, but I had to make it work. I always keep a few OTC products on stand-by

:applause::applause::applause::awesome::awesome::awesome:

Wow. I have never seen such a dirty interior. I thought my wife kept her Quest dirty, but it's spotless compared to that. Were you tempted to just open up with a pressure washer?! My G-d, what a mess! But then, the after pictures are amazing! You used Black Magic dressing on the interior? Did you use that to clean as well or something else to clean before dressing? What did you use on the carpets?

Did you use any special tools to get the cervises etc?

Tempted to use the pressure washer on the inside? YES....LOL
Black Magic Interior Protectant on the interior, yes. Applied with a MF towel. I did not clean with it. I cleaned with Megs APC diluted 1:5, via a MF towel, actually, about 2 dozen MF's....hahaha

For the carpet, I vac'd first, for about 2 hours or so.....:mad:
Then I used OXY and water. Pour on and scrub with a stiff bristle brush. The extracted with the shop vac. I am saving up to buy a hot water extractor. Not the little ones, but a big one. Mytee brand. For the crevices, I use different types of things....brushes, Q-tips...etc. The one I always grab first it the toothbrush. I picked up about a dozen from Wal Mart. They had cheapos for .50 each on clearance........

WTF!!! That was absolutely disgusting. I've noticed people like that seem to get a kick out of someone else cleaning up their pig pen. I wonder what their house looks like? That's just unbelievable to let your vehicle get that way. They obviously had it that way for a while, so why not keep it that way! Sheez.....hat's off to you man! Great job, but I would have told them to clean it themselves!:D Once the toilet paper and Conway Twitty cd were seen, you should have known you were in trouble:righton: J/K Conway fans:D

Vehicles like this make me want to work at McDonalds. HAHAHA
But the outcome is well worth it IMHO......and the check:awesome:

Good work man... on a total mess of a ride!!! cant wait to see the exterior....

Looks Great Chris! :applause::applause:

Like night and day, Nice work!! :cheers:

ouch, but i must say it really wasnt THAT bad for a work truck....

oh and the pressure washer comment........its fun to get the mud out but it will take forever to dry :) that use to be my quick way out of trying to vacuum all the mud outta my truck ( mudding with the windows open)

great turn around on that one, it looked pretty bad before!

Wow, I have family in developing and constuction etc and none of their trucks get like that. I've never understood how some people can get vehicles so dirty inside. Glad I don't detail for a living or even hobby lol, no patience for what you just showed:D
