Had a complete detail this weekend on a 2005' Chrysler Pacifica. The customer is selling the vehicle and wanted me to prep the Pacifica for the sale.
Here are some before/after shots:

Interior was pretty dirty and needed vacuuming and shampooing:

The paint was heavily swirled. OHP made quick work of it and finished down well,to get LSP ready:

I have almost 100 pictures of before and after but I didn't want to bore anyone ;).

The owner said the vehicle turned out very "Impressive" and gave me a $50 tip :)

He told me he is picking up a new Lincoln and will bring it by for a New Car Prep Service that I offer.Applying semi-coat (CQ or OC,depending on how hard the clear is) to the paint, Leather guard (GTechniq),and also carpet protectant (prevent stains setting in) in case there is ever a spill.

Thanks for looking.

WOW!

What a transformation. I just don't know why most minivan owners just don't seem to take very good care of them, until it's time to sell or turn them in at the end of a lease.

I would have suggested putting a business card in the glove compartment stating that the finish on this vehicle has been maintained by...........
But since it's a minivan you know the next owner will probably not care either.
At least it will look like new on the day they buy it.

Great Job! All around! He may change his mind on selling after that turn around.

Great Job! very nice turnaround!:dblthumb2:

great work, some questions as the acronyms get lost on me

- UTTG?
- OHP?

thanks

Sorry Sunshyne,here you go ;)

UTTG = Ultima Trim Tire Guard

OHP = Optimum Hyper Polish

thanks for the clarification. What pad combo did you use?

Looks really good!!

The Pacifica is the best handling of "minivans" and was one of Chrysler best cars in terms or braking distance. It also has Chrysler most "breaking" tranny :( In the snow the AWD will hang the tail out very predictably and very easily, making turning in snow a breeze and much fun on the snow course. On the road course (hi mu) I could keep up and outrun many "cars" and sedans (on the turns of course). They had dual piston front calipers with great pads, very decent Michelin tires, and a Mercedes Benz "derived" 5-link rear suspension. The interior was comfortable albeit not very roomy in the back, and I could pull 12 hour driving stints no problem (from Detroit to the UP). It had HID projectors before any other Chrysler I believe. Too bad it was so darn expensive and probematic!

I am proud to have worked on all these aspects of the vehicle in my career, except of course the trans and interior/lighting depts ;)

Hard to believe but after several test sopts with product/pads,I used Orange pad's.

Thank you for all the comments everyone :props:

Hope I can get the wife's '05 Pacifica to look that good! It's gold though. But since it stopped raining, will probably have to mow the lawn first.

Great work Chris, and congrats on the tip (always very nice to know your effrots are being appreciated)!!!

Chris, the Pacifica looks great. I was looking forward to seeing this job after you mentioned it earlier. My wife also has an '05 Pacifica (black/black) that DESPERATELY needs to be done. I'm waiting on a beta sealant to do it though. Her cowl trim is awful too...made even worse by the application of BHAB to it back when they said it was safe for trim! (Sure found that out the hard way!). I am waiting for Ranney to get me some C4 (HINT, HINT AGAIN AG!!) which I will use on the cowl too. It has been an awesome vehicle for her: AWD, decent mileage, great space. Chrysler destroyed the resale value of them when they discontinued the model. I was shocked to hear what they go for now on the used market.
You've sure thrown down the gauntlet for when I do hers now, LOL. Again, great job!!

Thanks Richy.
As I thought, the paint was very polish friendly and was able to go LSP ready after using the OHP and Orange B&S & Uber pads (4",5.5").
The C4 definitely made the wiper cowl look brand new.

As for throwing down the gauntlet,na.
I could of stepped down and jeweled the paint with Menz PO106/85 or 3M UltraFine and a black pad but the car was above presentable for sale and I had 20+ hours into the detail.
I'm sure your wife's Pacifica will turn out awesome, hence it being black :props:

BTW,They're very nice rides!

I certainly hope the owner of the Pacifica could really appreciate the quality of your work as the condition of it was so filthy when brought to you. A really fabulous job on your part. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us, I enjoyed them all.

The family that bought this vehicle is bringing it in for a follow up during the Christmas holiday :xyxthumbs:
Can't wait till I see the condition everything is in!
