I think that is why I thought of the idea of making an electric 2" polisher. I always ran into these situations where I didn't have a machine that would safely fit into tighter areas.

That is why I removed my reverse lights and polished them that way in the video I made. I'm sure I would have tried fitting the polisher I made in there. If I had thought of it and made it at the time.

and thanks Kyle :dblthumb2:

The front end of my car has been repainted. It never get wet sanded or buffed. So did it today :D (the hood, fenders and bumpers looked good)

Sanded with:
3000 DA sanding grit using a PC with interface pad and 3inch 3000 grit for smaller areas

Then used:
Menzerna FG400 with Lake Country Hybrid wool pad on my Rupes 21
Meguiar's M205 for polish with a polishing pad
Menzerna 4500 for a final polish
IPA wipe down
Finally Opti Coat

Come on don't be afraid Kyle and I will help u fix it if Mike Stoops puts you on the spot again. Looks good though and its about time! :props:

Yes....about time

Let's tackle that trim next time!

Thanks guys. I wanted to tackle this job today because I have to start packing up and moving back to La Puente. So it was now or never.

I remember thinking "I'd like to have a car to restore" Well the law of attraction states "your wish is my command" cos I got a car to restore

Also I sanded to close to the windshield water sprayer, the ones we were messing with Kyle (forgot their name) and while I did not do any damage. There was areas that I was unable to buff out the 3000 grit sanding marks, unless I remove them, but that's an easy fix. lol

Well time to start packing

This Harley got a
Waterless wash
a 2 step
clay,polish,sealant

did the seat too, I cleaned it up with Meguiar's APC+ and then used Meguiar's Leather Cleaner and Conditioner

I used both my 2" machine and 3" machine setup. Used the LC Hydro Tech pads 3" were on the PC and the prototype 2" were on my 2" polisher.

I got HD Polish in The DB and wanted to try it out. It works as advertised and did a great job.

The owner took the wheels and tires with him, not sure what he was going to go have done to them. He did tell me he wished he could have left them so I could have detailed them too. :)
