My concern would be with my employer. By sending you, HE is taking responsibility, not you. Find out what he expects from you. You will be representing him. If the problems turn out to be more than can be done outside of a paint booth then find out if he wants you to only correct what you can, don't touch it, whatever. If you end up biting off more than you can chew, is your job at risk? If the customer expects 100% correction, even though the vehicle was not in that condition previously, does your employer expect you to do that too?
If he is paying you separately from your paycheck for this job, you could be liable for anything not up to the customers expectations, because at that point you are basically a contractor.
