Detailing Truths...

I never drop my waxing applicator...the trick is to pretend you are in prison and the wax applicator is your bar of soap, hold on tight

Glad you guys got a kick out of this and added some additions...

Yea, I forgot about the packing peanuts. I use MF and packing peanuts in the same sentence a lot.

...and the rain, last week when I was watching the weather about the drought in Nebraska, I thought, what's the problem, ... Just have everyone wash their cars on the same day.

* The more a car cost, the more brake dust it will make.

* Your AutoGeek delivery will always arrive a day when your at work - never when your off

* It''s impossible to get all your stuff out of the box without getting some packing peanuts on the floor, no matter how careful you are

The likelihood of a bottle of product being empty or only having a few drops is directly proportional to how urgently you need to use it and how long it takes to obtain.

If you don't bring a product on a mobile detail thinking you won't need it, you will.

Great, now every time someone talks about MF towels I am going to read it in a Samuel L. Jackson voice from Snakes on a Plane.

Awesome post, and the thread that followed it is just brilliant :)

Didnt know that MF and microfiber were related

They most certainly are!

Have you ever dropped a clean microfiber towel on the ground right before buffing that wax haze? Now what are the first two words that come from your mouth?

I rest my case.....

To the OP...

Brilliant, funny and a lot of truth. Excellent post my good sir.

I agree with that 10000% but I would add...

Dont attempt to detail your ride if your younger son is around or it will take 3 times longer because he will come behind you with something and make you work harder getting it off.

I agree. When my son Rand was a tot he was fascinated by cars and always would follow me around as I detailed something and would try to copy dad by putting whatever his little hands could find onto whatever it was I was detailing. Sneaking little guy...

Once you learn what a swirl is, your vision is cursed for life!

Exactly. I would like to add you can NEVER enjoy going to a car show and looking at the cars.

I never realized everybody's car looked like crap until I found this site.

Ha ha...

Absolutely.

You thought you did a good job when only a few packing peanuts fell out after you unpacked the box. Then you realize you didn't take out the free sample yet!

"THAT'S IT!!! I've had it with these MicroFiber swirls on my MicroFiber PAINT!"

Great thread. :xyxthumbs:
