Headed 'outside' or offshore yesterday. Ran about 50 miles or so to about 110' of water. Had an excellent day!

Headed out!


Shrimp boat


Hooked up!


Doubled up!





























We limited out on grouper in about 2 hours. Biggest fish over 30". Ran back in to around 85' or so and got a 2 person limit (20 fish) on some decent yellow tail and mangrove snapper.
Back at the dock early...and then fileted fish for about 3 hours!
All in all, an excellent day! Can't wait to go out again in a couple weeks!

Gotta keep the sun off of you out there so I cover up...it's no joke when it's reflecting off the water all day...and I don't want to have a future skin cancer problem!

I was scared to open in case there was some Sizzle Chest pictures LOL! All I have to say is THANK GOD the only things naked were the fish ;)

This always looks like a blast. Living on the gulf coast I know how rad those sunrays are off the water. Glad you enjoyed yourself

Being from a country that has one of the highest per capita fish consumption (more or less 3 times the USA values), I must say I am jealous of your fishery, especially because I love grouper.

Congratulations on your "little fishing trip". Man, I wish I was standing right along side you. I love it. Dad got me started when I was knee high to a grasshopper, 4 years old. Was mostly fresh water in the early years, later on it didn't matter where or when, I'm in. Nice fishin', nice pictures, good eating. Enjoyed your post immensely, thank you for sharing. Take care.
